Way back, one of my uni projects was to write a C to MIPS32 compiler. Why? Because the lecturer was a big fan of MIPS. I've never needed to touch anything related to MIPS since.

Programmers have been bickering for literally decades about X versus Y, and whether scripting is really programming or just pretend programming, et cetera. Pro tip: The language isn't as important as the compiler or interpreter. You can write an interpreter to run C as a script. You can compile Javascript. You can write an interpreter to run a usally compiled language into an interpreted language, and vice versa.

Tip: Magazines are not part of the scientific process. It is a parasitic industry riding on the back of science to make money. You can do as much science as you want, and not publish it anywhere. Or you can publish it on your own website if you feel the need. But publishing is NOT part of the scientific process.
