I find the fact that the military here is setup orthogonal to the civilian sector fascinating- for the military- a unified energy carrier - that can be everything, battery, fuel, explosives is the golden grail. Bonuspoints if you can squeeze that liquid through a fuel cell.

So, Methanol + doseable hydrogenperoxide or something similar it is. If it can drive your drone, power its onboard compute and fire a gun or convert into explosives at the end of the journey, thats pure victory.

Bonuspoints again, if you can standardize your whole setup into machine assembleable legobricks, creating changeable drones on demand, that can iterate in hours through, where normal military industrial complexes take months, years, generations. Every drone, every rocket just a stack of coke cans, foil-wrapped, going for a walk, a fly.

So the value is in those who where actually kept outside by the gatekeepers. Those that can use the new tools and are no longer kept at bay by those that need artificial moats. The very same innovation that creeps to the front of society in a war, is going to be liberated. I toast to that.

What is possible as ground-truth, if the "tarbabies" of society get sidelined can be seen in Ukraine.

It is pro-kicking out oppossition to the system that uses the system to grow in power without contributing anything back to it. So the us has abandoned the "Wandel durch Handel" ideology- which lets admit it- was a brutal failure. Russia did not change. China changed back. None of the countries in the middle east got democratic or "contributing to the worlds allmende". Turkey is sliding back.

Eh, the empire aka, protection of free trade as a service is still alive and well with no viable alternative on the horizon. Every other empire is either not free trade or - just plain mercantilism and thus will exploit way more then the quite "idealist" us- trump is just a taste of what the others in power would feel like.
