There's also the problem of cheating which creates a reputational issue for the game and frustrates players. Many multiplayer games suffer from cheating.

There's a security problem (and hence legal liability) when two people know each other's IP addresses.

There's also a complex networking situation when people are behind NATs, firewalls, etc.

It's like what Gamespy was back in the day, or XQF. THe All-Seeing Eye (ASE) was pretty good too but is defunct. Maybe XQF is still around.

Those provided a list of servers for game servers, for games that didn't have a centralized list of servers.

The latter seasons have memorable thought-provoking moments but they are sparse.

They could have compressed those into fewer episodes and it would have been more watchable.

Open source has many altruistic and smart people that like to learn and build while benefiting others.

But then you also have high ego people motivated by building a personal brand, prestige and status... and open source is just means to that end. While their contributions are valuable, conflicts of interest arise.

wgpu's OpenGL support is kind of broken. wgpu + Vulkan is the stable combination, unless I am mistaken

This is good progress but the 1995 movie is still superior.

There many details in the movie, like the sound of electricity going through the circuit, the camera path is more like a spline with rotations in more axis, etc.

It does perform really good on mobile.
