<p>Android literally has the Linux file system, although without root only the "home" directory is accessible. But within there is a Downloads folder, Documents folder, and all the other folders you'd expect from a home directory<p>With root you have access to the entire linux-style system directory</p>

<p>That's the problem I have with most DE talks though<p>People act like these issues are going to "stop the Linux migration" or otherwise, and then they give examples of things that most users will never do/isn't even possible on windows / mac<p>It feels like most people don't like some DE's just simply because it's not what they're used to, not because there is actually a problem with them</p>

<p>Sure, but the contract in place forbids these things. So the contract is literally a non-performer and cannot perform such orders in the way it is written. So, I personally struggle to see outside of taking over the supply chain how Anthropics contract forces them to do this</p>
