Neat! I have plenty of time to read these Microsoft announcements today because Microsoft 365 exchange online is borked and my emails aren’t going out and teams in browser is jank-city.

I’m not going to dox my YT channels, but I do know the difference between the two and a year ago YT admitted to automatic AI “enhancements”.

I’ve also seen the trend of TV clip slop using AI filters to I assume get by automatic copyright flagging/removal/de-monetization.

Isn’t YouTube applying weird AI processing to shorts?

So all shorts will be labeled?

Maybe I’m not the target audience for Google products anymore?

I have to use Yandex and DDG for search results now.

Gemini has insane throttling so I’ve just embraced local models for most things and the occasional API call to whatever frontier model I think will work best.

YouTube search is abysmal and new content is 98% consumerism BS.

My Gmail is mostly spam and mailing lists I can’t seem to get off of with the occasional scam attempt thrown in.

Guess I’m just ranting to rant at this point. I grew up online and now the internet feels weird and I think I might be “over it”.

I saw a comment on here a few days ago and the user mentioned that they use a Captcha AI bot in their day to day life because a solve costs $.003. So even if you had the captcha-enabled new version it might not have helped!

I've had the $20 Gemini plan to use when my local setup runs into tougher problems and the throttling today has been bonkers. I canceled my subscription and will look into upgrading my local setup.

Just in time for mass cancellations after their usage rug pull!

Canceled my $20/mo tier.

Two prompts took me into 67% usage. One of those prompts was lost completely and errors out when try to access it.

Gemini users are livid.

I run whisper through openwebui to gemma4 moe and use kokoro TTS back to me.

I use a 5060ti 16gb and a minipc.

I tunnel in via Tailscale and access it with my phone or laptop from anywhere. It’s pretty good and will only get better as I optimize.

Also after a few years you can sell and upgrade.

A 2022 Mac Studio w/ M1 Ultra and 128gb was ~$5200 new and I see them selling for over $4k on eBay.

Or, I don't know, enforce current laws on the books and have cops do their job?

I've watched traffic code enforcement drop to essentially non-existent numbers largely because apathetical agencies and "officer safety" concerns.

I'd rather they go after people actively rolling coal instead of violating the rights of thousands of Americans like me.
