I am thinking there is likely a massive infrastructure behind Linux running on your device. And thanks to all those that support it.

Of course, both are right, unless an AI is running ones home energy use, the bill payer needs to know in advance the expected pricing so they can plan use, and of course smart meters are required to implement the billing side.

Interesting, and in the second case, I admit I had never considered that Google must extend credit to some of its customers and that it likely some of them won't pay and in this regard Google have to do what everyone else does and take dispute to court.

As a skydiver - slow and carefully is better, but with that one becomes quicker as one does when practising lots. The number of jumps one can have in a day is limited by aircraft availability rather than packing speed. So of course there are 'professional' packers (say army) who are not constrained by aircraft and say have a week or two to repack a couple of hundred chutes - so different number likely apply. Further ones reserve chute needs to be repacked yearly (or so)- and that's one fella that one does wants the packer (needs a certified packer) to be slow and careful with. Thinking about it aviation (and space) seems to be one area where care comes before speed. So dude I think you are right in calling this out. [edited]

So reading between the lines - the bracket holding the helium tank (inside the oxygen tank) broke, the helium tank ripped away from it's plumbing (pressure lines and valve(s)) and the high pressure gas contained in it escaped into the oxygen tank causing it to burst.
The SpaceX description is a little vague about the plumbing, I'd like to know more about that - is it an on off vale that opens and closes under command of the flight computer to maintain pressure, or is it a modulated valve that is controlled by a PID loop or the like.

Sweet and totally within the spirit of RaspberryPi. Thanks for releasing it.
PS. 3K sample/sec is good enough for a lot of work on sensors and also for the youngish to get a handle on how to do ADC and process it - who knows some young person may start of experimenting with something like this and go onto design something quite awesome in the future.

Yes it's a good thing (for the tinkerers of this world) and I suspect its a long term view for MS. If young tinkerers can tinker away on some of the cool hardware out there leveraging MS products/tools for free (in the same way they can using linux tools) then in the future maybe some of those young folk will bring to this world some awesome startups also using the MS tool chains, a chain they may well be prepared to exchange cash for - but certinally a chain they will be familiar with.
Of course those not happy with that can fork the Arduino and its tool's - as far as I know they are all open.
Of course it may lead nowhere MS and they may well drop it when the return does not pan out.
My 2 cents...

I generally use Thunderbird and while I have not checked what it does in all cases, it generally flags when there is remote content and provides options regarding loading it. I'm happy with that. I know many folk of course use web based mail readers, and this is directed at them, but if its a big issue using a product like Thunderbird may be the way to.

Thanks, that would explain that.
I was impressed by how small the barge looked compared with the F9 it's clever that the F9 can autonomously target such a small area. If they keep targeting 'Just Read the Instructions' by the time land based landings come to be it will be nailed. Awesome stuff!
