I’m interested to see if this spurs other countries to push back on this administration. Once you get a couple of countries to collectively stand firm is when things take a turn. Bullies can only push for so long

Take a 2 week long vacation deep somewhere doing just this, you will appreciate it but more than likely come to realize it is not something you would prefer long term. If you can find a middle ground, to me that’s the dream.

I’ve made a large mistake that ended up being a positive for the company I was working for (profit wise) and I took it as seriously as if it had gone in the opposite direction. It was a simple thing but boy did the anxiety of worry destroy me. Can’t imagine what the worry would have been like if it was in the opposite direction

Ah, the at home water filtration systems that encapsulated in plastics! Though the benefit of clean water likely makes any potential plastic contamination from the filters moot

I tend to think this will end up being a good thing. It will force people to actually think about the best use cases and utilization of tokens while others will push to optimize models and tools to improve cost and efficiency. “Life finds a way”

VTOL aircraft have the same distance capabilities and make more sense in a lot more scenarios than this, with way more flexibility. It’s obviously larger but I’m just not sure of potential advantages over other modes of transport currently available and in the near future

We are inundated with more choices and decisions than ever before, causing stress that becomes overwhelming.

Up until the last generation, you didn’t even worry about what you were going to have for dinner. Your option was whatever was available. You spent the day making that thing. You ate. Now you have to make decisions on every little thing in life because there are options and choices for everything in life. We have not yet evolved quickly enough to handle this many choices and decisions, as lame and unimportant as they may seem.

This needs to be tied to a whole house shutoff system because if I get an alert I’m not thinking about shutting off my gas or water. Having a system that shut those off immediately would be great

Me and my wife we talking about A/R glasses the other day and we both agreed that one of our number one use cases would be having the camera actively identify plant species when taking a walk or hike. Not every time it sees a plant obviously, just when a new species is identified along the way.

My young daughter can identify a whole host of native species by their scientific names and it absolutely floors adults who catch her doing it. Our house is a plant nerd house so she just picked it all up on her own and enjoys it as a small component of her life.
