Everyone needs to read the section about demographic data.

Big claims:

- The United Nations is systematically over-estimating fertility. (Table A1)

- The United Nations is assuming inplausible fertility rebounds (B.2)

- The world is already below the replacement rate. (B.4)

- The world population will peak in 30 years.

He has been saying this in his lecture "Demographic Future of Humanity" which you can find on YouTube, but now we have finally have the paper.

We need to make this common knowledge.

Even if the headline claim is true (other people have already critiqued it), this would dramatically increase the federal deficit without massive tax increases - and as far as I know, none of the advocates of a M4A-style program have ever explained how they would pay for it.

Sorry Valve. I know its not really your fault but I refuse to give you my money this time. Instead I'm executing plan B: converting my Steam Deck into a workstation. It's the best hardware I have and while it can't play everything smoothly what it can run well is practically endless.

I don't think is a viable strategy for building a social life. Gym attracts asocial weirdos (not an insult, I happen to be one). I would consider getting a really hobby or switching jobs. There's a lot of turnover in the food service industry, plenty of chances to meet new people. If you're an unemployed CS grad what do you have to lose? The best thing though would be finding a romantic partner and just devoting yourself to that person, instead of moving from one fleeting friendship to another.
