i dont agree with the self-indemnifying approach. let us apply this concept to itself - what could go wrong with not shooting down ideas? a lot of time could be wasted giving credence to that which is invalid. for example, ive just donated my energy debating the merits of an article that was probably written by a large language model (this is a judgement based on overt presence of negative parallelism, punchy prose, tripartite sentence structure, AI generated image, ...) - on a personal basis id prefer to have spent my time otherwise, as this entire argument can be summed as "be curious, not judgemental". therefore shooting this one down was probably a good idea?

i initially agreed with the social media ban, privacy concerns notwithstanding. after reflection ... why couldnt the government instead have engaged in an education campaign to make parents understand what the modern internet does to their kids? education campaigns definitely occurred in the past to address phenomena deleterious to childhood. youtube isn't even banned, which is probably the main source of imagination deletion, so its not like the ban in its current form is super effective. lastly, what are kids meant to do when they cant talk to each other online? parks are completely empty. third spaces dont exist. urban environments dont offer a forest to explore in. banning kids' primary medium of extracurricular socialization is going to end up in a generation of neets.

as a black box there evidently is no functional difference, as output is perceptibly identical in both cases. as a white box its amusing to consider that an ai worker may themselves become verbally indistguishable from ai, although in this particular case its more likely that the ai worker is simply lazy and told ai to write a tweet for them.

im sorry to hear that, some of my family members have inner ear disorders and the nausea/vertigo sounds terrible. the original comment isnt targeted at those like yourself who unfortunately must deal with damaged peripherals ... but still there is a chance it could apply. may i ask whether you ever noticed ringing in your ears to be correlated with a change of mental state? examples of this chage would be arriving at a big realisation, or commencing relaxation, or performing meditation.

ok. do you see any more concrete signs? to me it smells like openai output with newlines removed. but aside from smell (and the negative parallel construction), one could argue that this may be the output of a human who has been influenced by the prose of ai.

out of all the people in this thread, you seem the most likely candidate to appreciate the following - tinnitus symptoms are often conflated with hearing sensitivity. if you can see auras, then id say your tinnitus symptoms arent indicative of tinnitus. search up brain wave frequencies and look at images. id wager you are hearing yourself, especially during changes of frequency. as well, just prior to sleep, you might hear a spike - thats the brain commencing the sleep mode algorithm (no wonder tinnitus wrecks sleep, affected individuals would struggle at synchronizing both hemispheres with the sleep algorithm when an involved sensor is malfunctioning)
seperately ... its clear that you recognise the incompatibility between sensitive individuals and a society designed to place the populace into constant fight or flight. youre still showing signs of blaming yourself. literally nobody is going to understand you (especially not doctors) and the sooner you accept this, the sooner you will free up a lot of trapped energy. id stop taking the stimulants regularly man ... even without their effect, barely anybody is going to understand your words, and the number of people who will appreciate your words is reduced when they are conveyed via essays (honestly i cant find the strength to read them properly) ... in general your expression has reminded me of the message behind the lateralus chorus

the populace has been trained to unequivocally reject any thought that goes against the prevailing narrative. they have been lobotomized, removing the capacity to discern shades of grey. so when things are shouted from the rooftops, automatically they considered not to be worth listening to. if you really want to change people's minds it needs to be done gently, and generally on an individual basis. thats all i wanted to suggest ... internet points are relevant because the less you have, the smaller your audience.

if youre going against the regime of hyperpathologization please be strong and gentle. people dont want to have their pacifiers ripped out, whether that be by lifting the veil of hypercapitalistic coercion, or simply by making plain the wealth of side effects that can be entirely avoided by ignoring artificial diagnoses and seeking solutions more in line with our biology.
like no shit people are going to be more willing to do the bidding of evil when their decision making apparatus is unnaturally saturated. and no shit people are going to have adhd symptoms in a screen based society. its completely obvious. but me saying that is going to get down voted to oblivion. people don't enjoy having a comfortable narrative questioned; dissent (no matter how minor) is equivalent to full scale assault on perceptions of existence. that being said, i dont blame anyone for this, considering that the entirety of existence is currently geared towards forcing the populace into fight or flight mode, thus rendering null the capacity to exact societal change and disrupt the status quo.
people really do think their best interests are at the heart of billion dollar companies like those producing pharmaceutical goods !

I really want to be in a world where that's true. in the meantime we live in a zero sum survival of the fittest game where the powerful execute the weak for insubordination. in this world it is often necessary to take roundabout paths to reach the objective.
for example, a constitutional representative in my country attempted to place restrictions on unfettered gambling advertisements. a single day later, photos emerged of that politician having dressed as a nazi for a costume party in his youth. that politician stood up for what was right and then got fired for it, by losing his job and his status in the court of public opinion, effectively achieving no change.
exacting change isnt always such a simple process as embodying the end result.

i feel like this is the same as voting independant. it's the right idea in theory, but given the fact that 99% of people don't do it , righteousness is decreased. in this case very literally as having a unique fingerprint is entirely counter intuitive to the idea of privacy

while noble, basically any western system will punish such behaviour as assault ... perhaps this point could be expressed as a prefererence for the law to change such that deprivation of privacy becomes a valid self defense argument ... in the meantime there do exist passive defenses such as face masks designed to interfere with facial recognition
