I have told llms all kinds of stories to find out what its answers would be. I always make it sound like it is the truth to make sure the AI answers in a way that it would if somebody actually said this. I also tested internal flagging systems of the ai company I work at with the most evil things a person can ever say to find out if it would flag them.

Of course I did not mean any of that stuff, but how can you make sure a human reviewer knows you did not mean it while the llm does not know that you did not mean it.

I guess its a miracle I am not in jail yet.

Flagging people for anything said to an llm sounds wrong to me because an LLM is not a real person and while some people put in their internal thoughts, others just roleplay and the two are inseparable just from reading it.

I am a typescript dev and I like reduce but also feel like I am the exception.

The standard linter plugin eslint-plugin-unicorn even has a rule "no-array-reduce" that is part of the recommended config, which means most people using this plugin will have no reduce in their codebases:

I mean I am not part of the same company, so I am just talking out of my butt, but I cannot imagine a dev worth their money taking more than two weeks, to fix a bug, especially today with AI assistance, most bugs are found the same day, the gnarly ones maybe take two days and in my lifetime as an engineer (10 years), I have not yet seen a bug that took me more than a week.

Taking 9 months to fix a bug sounds alarming to me.

Respect for the consumer has long been gone generally except for a few brands.

I am still wondering why consumer respecting brands are not emerging more and thriving.

As an european I approve of the claim being "Its not this, its that", because for once its an actual good use of it, as many things claim to be european when in actuality they are american companies, hosting their stuff in an aws/azure european data region, so not really european at all.

People do not want to talk to their devices because they are in the room with other people and they dont want to disturb them. I think their device is going to be a flop.

TLDR: We need agents that can read our minds.

I think we want two opposing things:

1. An agent that acts autonomously 2. An agent that acts like we would

The problem is that an agent can only act like we would if it would know our mind and all the bits and pieces we did not define but are obvious or clear to us.

The only real solution to get an agent to act like we would is to make it ask clarifying questions, breaking the first requirement we have. Until we have agents that can literally read our minds, we cannot have both.

Optimizing the harness/context is the best way to make it act like we would, but this of course isn't working perfectly.

Renting a domain for the the sole sake of selling the ability to rent it to someone else or even worse: Renting it at a higher price to someone else and pocketing that extra money every year without providing any additional service. Bonus points if you also track recent companies that have been created and immediately buy also the related domains and social media handles and extort the founders of the new companies.
