There is plenty of discussion on Gaza or Luigi. If you find youself being "censored" consider that your views and "solutions" are far outside what is accepted on the platform. On the old web you could also get banned if your views did not align with the platform.
Dont compare wanting a pro terrorism fourm with niche interests its so disingenuous.

Most niches dont have to self censor. Even the ones that do still have no trouble communicating their message. I follow a lot of military channels and they post uncensored versions of their videos off yt but there is little reason to go because seeing the gore is not why im watching the video. I still get the entire value of the video from youtube even though you might argue its self censoring.

So then flock employees are unlikely to care at all since they are already being tracked by flock. The it will concern them once some crazy person is driven to the point of enacting real world violence. The entire point of this project is to collect that data in hopes that someone acts on it.

Niches nowdays are far deeper and more vibrant than they were 20 years ago. Instead of 1 guys website or 1 fourm with 30 users you now have many discord servers with 1000s of users talking in real time, youtube channels putting out videos and making money, reddit/lemmy aggregating content, the community interacting in real time and building what it needs.

AI strips a lot of the intention from the work. The artist might want a wooden house with a straw roof and while they design the house they might add framing and other small touches to the house and to the viewer the small decisions could be as important as the choice for a straw roof.
When the artist AI generates it they get a house with wooden house with a straw roof and nothing else has any thought or intention. Its less personal, the viewer previously did not have to question what the artists intention was now they do because its likely the artist had no intention or thought towards a particular part of the art.

I dont know how to convey this in a sticky way but these extremist beliefs are not organic. People do not organically become neo nazis or Marxist lennists. They are not randomly adopting these beliefs because of circumstances of the world.
These groups specifically target and craft messages and strategies. You can see it if you browse their spaces and they openly talk about it. They will have threads where they pick a common argument and refine the response. They then go into the space and make the bad side of the argument on one account and pile on it with the refined arguments. Praise all the people that agree as intelligent and demean all the people that disagree. It really does not take that many people to successfully flip a space.
Because the message is crafted its always just on the edge of what can be banned for. If they are banned its a good opportunity to act like it was a massive overreach.
People see these tiny little seeds getting planted and eventually when they are presented with the argument they reach the extreme position and feel like it was their own work.

if demand drops to 0 you still need to pay money to run a power grid and the energy gen capacity.

The power capacity is already built out. They shrink the demand(and revenue) of that built out capacity. But then when renewable power is bad they pop back onto the grid to spike demand.
The get to enjoy the best of all worlds free energy when its good and the safety of the grid while the grid gets the worst of all worlds a non paying household that will spike demand at the worst time.

The grid is made up of many different energy generating parts. Some are cheap to gen energy like solar others are expensive but consistent like gas. Utiliy companies sell the power to cover the costs of maintaining all these core parts of the grid. Personal solar decreases revenue because you have people generating energy and either using it or selling it back to the grid this is money that is taken away from grid maintenance. But when there is a low amount of solar they will all want to draw from the grid.
This puts extra burden on government/poor electricity buyers who cant afford solar to now cover the cost of the grid.

That is not something that should be encouraged. Hacking together projects like a wifi calculator is fun, harmless and builds knowledge. Hacking a phoneline can land a kid in jail. Attacking public infra is not something that should be treated lightly.

This is in my opinion a bad solution to the problem of expensive energy or renewable transition. Having individuals start managing their power via plugin solar and plugin batteries creates a gap between the people who can afford it and those who cant. The people who cant afford it end up paying more for electricity.
A better solution is to do this on a local or federal government level and build the required amount of power.
