Hi HN -
Like everyone, I have been using LLMs for managing my family's health and especially in understanding more in depth about the personal health issue for me and my loved ones.
I ended up creating an agent to manage the long term history of each member. I use it to manage or solve medical issues. I use it multiple times a week for anything related to health.
The alpha version can be downloaded here - https://karankurani.github.io/OpenCareLoop/
It differs from the regular ChatGPT / Claude projects in that there are proper workflows to process and add structure your healthcare data. It has a "loop" that allows you to make changes in your lifestyle/medication/habits and track it. It is way more effective over a period of time compared to using general AI chat.
Some of the stuff that it has helped with so far in no particular order - solve a long running chronic pain of a parent, manage pain levels of another parent, change decisions related to IVF that reduced the number of scans needed, get second opinion, understanding the healthcare decisions being made by doctors and so on.
It is a constant health companion, and I have a feeling it will be useful to everyone.
Restating the obvious here - This is AI and all outputs should be crosschecked and risky changes should always be validated by doctor before doing it.

Although it does not handle MRI files yet. I opensourced an AI workflow that helps in figuring out issues with my family.
https://karankurani.github.io/OpenCareLoop/
It has helped me personally solve longer chronic problems in my family that doctors just dont have the time to go into indepth due to their (understandable) lack of time.
Its in alpha and AI hallucinates. Use with care. Feedback welcome.
An AI agent for personalized healthcare is inevitable. The cases such as the one posted are all solvable with time. AI has hallucinated and continues to hallucinate but the value we get in the space of coding can be extended to other domains.

I use a variation of this. I call it “lets do miserable toil together” or “misery loves company”.
Where if there is a lot of gruntwork that is plain toil and is unpleasant to do solo. I plan a time window in advance that a bunch of people get together to do that same work.
Gives team support to individual, gets the work done fast and makes it less unpleasant.

All these genre of articles are of the same vein.
- corporations are inherently evil. They are akin to criminals.
Every single time the author has never run a business that is equivalent at the scale of the business being criticized.
And they attribute to malice that can be explained with systematic incentives or complex interactions between various complex components in a dynamic world.
Its not the same as committing a crime.
