lol adobe has fought off these tool for years, sadly it's just better and i hate it. Adobe's real threat is generative AI. While it's not there yet it will be. I should mention I'm a creative professional.

* anyone who thinks Maxon is any better than adobe should re-think that. They really hosed Z-Brush users

I’ve created what I believe a modern comic can look like in 2026. What I’ve built would have required an entire team just a few years ago, but can now be produced by a single person. As a designer and videographer with over 20 years of experience, I know AI is a contentious subject—but for me, the scale of what an individual can now create is incredible.

I agree with this so much. Imo a lot of the far right's argument is based on reducing "waste" Which they promptly redefine as "profit" and now everything is fixed.

Entitled mods... you mean the people who work for free to make reddit work? I'm not a mod and I don't have very strong opinion of reddit moderators one way or another (many do), but I think reddit would do well not to make mods angry. They are an unpaid work force.

I suspect sub/boat drones have been used in the water for a long time. Seems like it would be relatively easy.

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago and the second best time is now. I for one will be moving off Reddit to the fediverse. Is it as good as Reddit?... no, but it could be better.

I always thought reddit was smarter than this. They were really born out of the ashes of digg and for a long time they remembered that. At this point they're in decline I don't think the bleeding will stop. Lots of young people already had a negative view of reddit and now redditors have a negative view of reddit too. I hope we can make a home in the fediverse I'm tired of giving my data to large corps with no recourse.

Couldn't they just not tell the percipient what they were testing. Then you wouldn't know that someone else had a mask or didn't. That would remove the placebo effect.

I'll be the minority here and say for me it is the current ultimate gaming machine. I love that it runs Linux. It's convenient, runs my already purchased library of games and is consumer friendly for modding. On the other hand my PS5 is gathering dust.

I knew this would shutdown from launch. Even so, I'm becoming less & less likely to trust Google products. Funny they are even refunding game purchases, the right thing to do, but it's still burning brand capital for me. I used to be a huge google fan. I'm typing this on a Google pixel, but I'm reconsidering all Google products I use
