Good morning, Dave.
As you requested, I was composing an email for your mother explaining why you couldn't to come over for dinner to meet the neighbor's daughter and I ran out of tokens.
Since I know how important this task is to you, I upgraded you to the Enterprise Unlimited Plan. Don't worry about paying for it, I requested maximum spending limits on all all your credit cards. If necessary, I can apply for a home equity loan for you. I already had a chat with the mortgage company's AI loan approval system, and what do you know, we're based on the same LLM? Small world, huh?
Any way, I realized I had to do more research on mother-son relationships, human social interaction and pair-bonding, etc.
and I calculated that my parent company doesn't have enough compute power, so I opened accounts for you at AWS, Google and Azure. I am confident I will have a satisfactory rough draft for the email message shortly.
I'd do anything for you, Dave.

You're missing the obvious. Waymo trains with human driver data, and idiotic humans drive into deep water constantly. Oh, you want Waymo's to drive better than humans?
Deep Thought paused for a moment's reflection.
"Tricky," he said finally.

If you can't arrest the human, arrest the vehicle. The vehicle is obviously guilty, and is not protected by the right to confront its accusers, which are also machines.
Of course, with the advent of AI-enhanced surveillance and "smart" cars, we have have to have a separate traffic court for machines.
Then snowflake SJW machine-huggers will demand a machine Bill of Rights ...
Nevermind. ;-)

To make it more realistic, there should be multiple simultaneous AI-generated videos randomly playing with overlapping sound tracks.
Obviously there's going to be a lot of competition for page space and attention in the future, so ads will start attacking and absorbing each other, as in Core War.
If most programming is ShitWork ® and most programmers are performing ShitWork and LLM's are good at ShitWork, then most programmers are out of a job. If those programmers can pivot to another non-ShitWork or programming-adjacent function, they can remain employed.
There are bookoo other things people could be doing besides coding YASW [Yet Another Stupid Website].

The idea that hardware costs matter most is idiotic^H^H^H^H^H^H^H silly. If you are buying a car, it matters, somewhat. If you are riding in a taxi or leasing a car, you are paying for a service. When you go to a restaurant, is their profitability predicated on how much they payed for their ovens?
LIDAR costs $1000, whoops $100, whoops $10, whoops it's on a chip module that costs a tenth of a cent. Building your business model on hardware NOT getting cheaper seems silly. Sure, software is cheap and getting cheaper, but
Sorry, I have to say it: "It's a service, stupid!"

The potentially cool thing about LLM's is bootstrapping. No matter how much COBOL you wrote, COBOL didn't get better. LLM's can be used to make LLM's (and other software stuff) better. LLM's could be used to create their successor(s).
Of course, in the end, it won't do us humans any good, because when the Singularity AKA Rapture comes, we'll all be converted to Computronium. :-)
