- running as a hard-line social conservative in a state where the GOP is torn between appealing to suburban Chicago fiscal conservatives and downstate Illinois social conservatives

I’m not asking anyone to do anything.

I’m saying the AI industry created their own problems by thinking the general population would eat their shit with a smile like their sycophants do.

For a bunch of people that considered themselves smarter and better than the general populous, they don’t understand people very well.

Yeah, that’s just scamming. Unfortunately, that’s pretty common with the camel vendors.

Since camel rides are almost exclusively bought by tourists, it attracts scammers that see the “customers” as easy marks.

The government won’t do anything about it until it starts negatively affecting the money coming into the country via tourism.

Eh. I concede that there are a ton of scammers in the tourist areas.

However, I think a lot of people used to the manners of the West really struggle with Egypt’s (admittedly, exhausting) haggling culture.

That’s not what the article primarily addresses though and the study itself didn’t control for obesity. They make note of it at the end to say that the obesity cause is in dispute but the bulk of the article is focused on other potential causes.

It’s like we need something more interesting than “people sit too much and eat too much”.
