You are people and I agree you need perspective.
You wave off systemic issues as no big deal and discuss the potential of a 3090 graphics card. Tell us you're a privileged first worlder without telling us...
That you refuse to discuss solutions to political problems impacting a lot of people who, in our society are off the hook for you too, you're deciding to take the risk your own life doesn't vanish.
You're not relevant to others. Americans lack of political action to ensure a safety net exists for everyone just leaves everyone indifferent should you too end up giving blow jobs behind a Burger King for a portion of kids meal someone threw out a car window should it come to that for you.
So go ahead and pretend reality doesn't exist outside your own experience, little Dark Triad. But if you end penniless in the gutter, you'll only have yourself to blame

Whiffed on my accusation according to some random internet posters interpretations.
Oh no. Anyway.

Once. Was impressed by the human effort in general, little specifically stood out.
Worked in low voltage wiring through college. Have been a part of groups rallying behind large infrastructure projects; on farms, new office buildings, rapid response to weather related crisis (tornado alley). It's actually a very common human thing.
Been to many an art fair around the world and the minutiae of Burning Man blends right in.
Leave no trace while blowing fossil fuels into the air hauling tons of stuff to the desert. Nice loophole.

Appeal to authority you don't have to dictate what is and isn't logical fallacy.
Easier to regurgitate some old philosophy you read than think. You look educated in philosophy if not intelligent in logic.

"Civic responsibility" is a ballsy claim from a bunch of first worlders exploiting child sweatshop labor, wasting resources on aura farming.
Burning Man is to the stated principles what Kraft singles is to cheese.
Just more empty American platitudes, advertising, marketing; watch! as rich capitalists role play rural community their capitalism tore apart!
The Party in 1984 is not just metaphor for a government but any group that puts its rhetoric before reality. Just some first world LARPers telling a story about themselves while the output is there for all to see.

Why do you doubt this when the rich also have Signal? They meet and talk out of view? The insider trading coming out of Washington?
Why when emails from discovery in labor disputes between google and apple in the 2010s revealed they engage in exactly the sort of manipulation you disbelieve?

Because they own nothing but make believe stocks and life works great for them.
The mega-rich are 100% decoupled from physical reality. May as well treat them more like tribal shaman, priests, preachers, and rabbis.
Just parroting memes the likewise idiot politicians believe are the magic chants that keep gravity itself pulling together the Earth.
"Omg he said the thing! Cut his taxes! Give him welfare!"
Our generation of leaders were raised in a pre-science and information as world. They rely entirely in cult of personality as their meat suit never sees itself engage in the labor it relies on to live. It's well aware intuitively how fucked it is. Must continue to stand in the pulpit!

Anyone who argues it is a class issue is not of sound mind?
Those who disagree with you are crazy.
Right.
Says one vain but ultimately useless meat suit whose food and shelter the rest of us don't have to concern ourselves with because it's so inconsequential an existence it props nothing important up.
Ah it's people like you that provide the most entertainment in life. Watching you shill delusions about your economic achievements in a physical reality that doesn't care you exist and a social system that provides no assurances your efforts today will afford you food and shelter in the future.
As the other 8 billion on the planet while you live don't notice you exist.
But you're of sound mind; a privilege you give yourself to begin with. Lol. Sad.

All of human agency must prop up the vanity of you. Of all people.
Got it.
...ok fine; lack of political action to put us all on the hook for your healthcare is your choice to take a gamble on a paycheck. It's a choice to say your own existence is not owed the assurance of healthcare.
So I will honor your choice and not care you exist.

Why?
We should have gone the other way; generated a lot of code and demanded pay raises; look at the LOC I cranked out! Company is now in my debt!
If they weren't going to care enough as managers to learn and line go up is all that matters to them, make all lines go up = winning
You all think there's more to this than performative barter for coin to spend on food/shelter.

Your comment is devoid of content, of substance. Just more parroting of obligations that do not exist.
You're not struggling to understand my comment. You're struggling to think altogether when your argument is "well because random political choice in 1979, we must today in 2026..." type reductive, functional illiteracy.
But ok; we must coddle the past to satiate some. Well, debt jubilees are things humans have done before. Wipe the ledger and start counting again. What is grandpa going to do? Rise from the grave?

Why do we have to get by as you say? On whose command?
Why do we always act like there's an immutable social obligation to march right along believing the prior generations had freedom to start marching in that direction, but we are forever locked in to such a direction.
You know all the people that made those choices are dying and future generations have zero obligation to carry on linearly from where they left off?
Women would not have the right to vote. We'd all be speaking Latin.
Two things that would remain true if society of the living was tightly coupled to exactly how the past worked.
