I agree with you but I don't really see what the alternative is. If you openly go around stating that you regret having children, what are people supposed to say? It's better to keep those thoughts to yourself because there, quite frankly, is nothing helpful anyone could say even if they wanted to. Not to mention that it would be unfair to the kids if they got the feeling that you regret having them.

It's really cool seeing how people connected with strangers from all over the place before the Internet. Also makes me wonder how many interesting uses of real estate like Home and Garden there are today in populated areas (34th st in Manhattan, etc.).

It's a bit of a hand-wavy question, but my Samsung S21 will get its last security update in January, and I was trying to figure out how many vulnerabilities/CVEs (say, in the past few years) would have affected the threat model I care about (mostly just TLS to my financial institutions).

Moreover, if I access the web through mobile Firefox (which is updated via the Play Store for longer than my phone gets system-wide security updates), how bad are the vulnerabilities really?

I found a study that brushes on some of these topics ("Common Security Vulnerabilities in Android Apps: A Comprehensive Guide" published in IJFMR), but I would be curious to see something like:

- a concrete vulnerability, even if it only affected a small number of Android devices - a combination of flaws that would have ostensibly allowed an attacker to get my credentials/access to my financial accounts - something affecting Firefox specifically

(Disclaimer) I'm upgrading to an in-date smartphone, but I just thought it would be a fun exercise since we always hear about the importance of updates minus the specifics . . . .

If I didn't trust the Guardian I would dismiss the photos as AI-generated. Even then I find this sort of thing difficult to believe . . . glad there were no injuries at least.

I hardly ever comment but I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed learning like this. Apart from the UI challenges on mobile Android (already noted by others), I wish it would cycle between more countries sooner (I kept getting Albania and Myanmar even after getting them right many times).

It looks interesting, but I always struggle to explain (and conversely when on the other side, to understand) the rules of card games to new players. Has anyone had success in bringing a game more complicated than Cards Against Humanity to their friend group? What did you find helpful?

I thought the probe and subsequent responses were interesting insofar as they demonstrate carriers' handling of user location data and Call Detail Records.
