The NHS does have a problem that it is built as a collection of individual trusts all using their own IT systems and after decades has an issue with transferring data between trusts.

So that's why an interconnected system is required in order to share data between the trusts while maintaining compatibility with their existing processes

Yeah. They'll never be able to stop it, but I wouldn't be surprised if just adding a little extra roadblock makes a measurable difference in their storage costs

Do they really though? I understand wanting to be able to use a common layout between mobile and PC devices, but even when you factor those things in there's no reason that we should've gone from something snappy at a few 100MHz to sluggish on multicore GHz processors

I think it's more likely that it's to limit people getting unlimited storage with multiple accounts by limiting it to 15gb per phone number

Developing a replacement system is still going to cost a hell of a lot. It's not like if you dropped palatir then we'd suddenly have a free drop-in replacement and everyone can have their fiver back

Meh. I would've been more bothered back in the day when Coursera was a treasure trove of high quality courses, but it went downhill.

So to add Udemy's infinite catalogue of poorly structured courses, it only adds to the decline
