Agree. Hollywood and Wallstreet are great examples. Also the founders of Google and Facebook. It's no coincidence. Though I'm not sure this is nepotism as much as it is organized clan behavior.
I think Indians are even more so but there it's about caste and not just being Indian.
Humans are weird.

GDP is actually the easiest, most apples-to-aples thing to compare, I don't know why you're saying it's too complex. And the graph clearly shows the EU falling behind the US, both in nominal $ and in GDP per capita.
Here's another source. https://statisticstimes.com/economy/united-states-vs-eu-econ...

>Social media platforms like TikTok and Snapchat will face possible shutdowns when they don't crack down on problematic content
Ok, and who defines what exactly is "problematic content"? Let me guess, it's gonna be whatever the government wants silenced.
>"When there is hateful content, content that calls – for example – for revolt, that also calls for killing and burning of cars, they will be required to delete [the content] immediately,"
Aha, but if I invite 100k people to a meeting in the city center next to the parliament building for a peaceful protest, that will be fine and not get removed, right? Right?

>It's alarming how comfortable people have become on HN to announce their xenophobia so openly lately
Since when is it xenophobic to not be ok with uncontrolled mass migration?
Do you also leave your house the door unlocked and open for anyone to come in as they please? If you don't, and you lock it, you're xenophobic.
People are ok with immigrants, they don't care what skin color you have, they just don't want uncontrolled illegal immigrants who don't care about integration and adapting to the local culture and value system.

 1. Import people who are not exactly fond of France as cheap labor

 2. Allow people in who are even hate France but just want the economic benefits

 3. Factories/mines etc shut down or go abroad, thus making foreign "temporary" workers who somehow were allowed to stay, go poor and thus, give the excuse leftists need about socioeconomic factors

 4. Regardless of point 3. immigration increases further because we must maintain the progressive multi-kulti façade going and call everyone who disagrees with it racist bigots

 5. End up with massive social welfare fraude and jobless people who can't, won't and don't want to integrate

 6. Somehow plead for even more immigration

 7. Integration systems are too small and failing under the pressure of sheer numbers, real estate prices and rent go brrrr

 8. Enclaves and proto-Detroitesque environments are growing like late stage cancer

 9. Not even all the gaslighting in the world can make those who can think with high resolution, believe "diversity is our strength". Call them racist without proper reason.

 10. Ethnic conflict, religious conflict, cultural unrest ensues and grows, allowing for invasive privacy laws to be set in "for your protection"

 11. Keep open border policies going because otherwise people might call you racist again

 12. Act shocked as rightwing parties grow across the west

>low level doctors (like radiology which is already widely outsourced)
lol, no. In my country, doctors have basically the strongest union possible, they decide who gets in/out and what tools get used so there's no way they'd let their jobs get automated or outsourced away. At best radiologists will use AI tools to improve their work but they'll still be in charge.
My fear is that after a while, just like with people having crashes from leaving autopilot in charge without constant supervision, radiologists will get sloppy/lazy and just rubber-stamp every diagnostic the AI gives them on autopilot, without checking for themselves, and we'll end up with more fake positives/negatives and people's lives ruined.
Hopefully I'm wrong.
