Doesn't seem like it would require AGI for a self driving system to "know" that someone fell and didn't magically disappear.

Umm, perhaps I'm mistaken, but I'm fairly certain that, at least in the US, it's always been fairly easy to obtain N95 masks, up until the pandemic. I realized I had a box of them lying around which my ex-girlfriend had purchased for painting.

Anecdotally, for me I didn't watch it religiously, but I would watch anytime there was a guest that I liked or found interesting. I haven't watched a single show since he moved to Spotify.

Also, a 10 year old child will likely not fear bodily harm or death the same way a 40-year old adult would, of course that can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on the situation.

Not exactly throwaway per say, but I have a Google Voice VOIP number that I usually use when I'm signing up for services that require a phone number. Some services seem to be able to actually detect that it is a Google Voice number and will reject it, but it works the majority of the time, and I believe it has helped in keeping my main phone number from receiving as much spam. One plus about using Google Voice is that I can access it later if I need to use it to regain control of an account if I lose a password or whatever. That number predictably gets a fair amount of spam now, but another nice thing about Google Voice is that I can quickly use full text search on the entire call history, voicemail, and sent/received SMS messages.

People always claim this, but I'm not convinced. We've had a million scientific discoveries that for all practical purposes disprove a lot of religious claims. People seem to either just adapt their beliefs, ie. things move from literal to symbolic, or people simply choose not to believe or consider the facts despite clear evidence. I don't think simple facts or evidence will ever seriously threaten religious dogma for at least some portion of the population.

I don't necessarily think Slack is worth $16B any time soon, but I actually do feel like my searchable Slack history stretching back ~5 years is one of the most valuable resources I have at my fingertips on a dailt basis. The search quickly pulls up stuff from years ago even stuff from before we changed the subdomain for the org.

Late reply here, but I was referring to the one-sided aspect. Just seems unlikely to me that someone would realistically intend for a one-sided copy of currency to be believed as real. Just seems like the threshold for printing both sides is so low that anyone who only printed one side must not really be intending for it to be taken as real, at least not for very long.

Someone has gone to prison for trying to pass off one-sided copies of actual currency? Seems pretty unlikely to me. Would be interested in reading about an actual case of this happening.
