I dunno, Linux does what i tell it to do, where as i have to constantly fight Windows for really simple UI things that should be a given.
For example, my windows explorer keeps opening at some where location and shape, no amount of tinkering under the hood has successfully made it open full screen all the time. Ubuntu on the other hand just keeps it at what ever i set it at, because of course it does.
Little things like that are the only reason i switched the linux as a daily driver.
I keep the windows partition active because there is no linux alternative for photoshop and lightroom.

The author is so out of touch its maddening. The article is full of out dated and offensive generalizations.
"I find most convincing is that Mangione could be suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. I’ve met a lot of people like this in McDonald’s, because the franchise is often one of—if not the only—place in the “real world” where they can go, grab a cup out of the garbage can, sit at their corner table, and fit in, at least for an hour or two, without encountering too many dangers. It becomes, for many deeply troubled people, their only lifeline to normal society."
This is so offensive to anyone who is living with mental health challenges, and to anyone living in this late-stage capitalist society. Oh your questioning the status quo and killed a man responsible for one of the biggest death for profit schemes ever? You must be a crazy person who eats out of the garbage bn.

Some feedback - your market is undoubtedly going to be coffee nerds, and we are instantly turned off by the video of the very unappealing shot being pulled on this page https://velofuso.com/trefolo.
If any situation ever called for the early 2000's ideal expression of espresso, this is it. Break out the double city roast, grind it fine and pull some ristretto shots with tiger stripes. It might taste trash but it will make for much better marketing.
Kudos for making something cool. 5 second preheat is awesome.

In defense of urban planners, we get good design and want to see more of it, but are usually beholden to the elected officials in the municipality who we require to vote in and ratify new design standards, or funding for projects.

Its interesting how my brain immediately sees the ambiguous bike lane mixed in with pedestrians spaces, and thinks 'That's dangerous', but i am not conditioned to think the same way about bicycles being forced to mix with car traffic, or pedestrians forced onto very narrow sidewalks in the clearzone of roads.

Oh give it a rest with the nationalist fear mongering. This isn't about 'national security concerns'. That's the smoke and mirrors to get the populist support necessary to ban it. Meta and Google are feeling threatened that their dominance on North America is being tested and they are flexing their lobbying muscles.

In most jurisdictions with the a land ownership model based on torrens title, this is inherent in the system, its called the Fee Simple Estate (with Crown or equiv being above this), with leasehold and life estates being below fee simple.
But you will find in most places the 'Crowns' abilities to exercise its ownership rights is fairly neutered and reserved for reasons the layman would refer to as eminent domain.

As a former Sydney resident, i would also like to point out for our North American audience that Australia doesnt have the same pedestrian right of way laws as N.A.
Pedestrians must give way to cars at all intersections and corners unless there is a marked ped crossing or traffic lights displaying a walk symbol.
Its not like NA in that every intersection or corner is a de-facto crosswalk.
In Sydney the police are also VERY active in enforcing and ticketing people who cross outside signals, or outside the walk signal. As a personal anecdote, i was fined in Sydney because the copper said i crossed on the flashing red walk symbol. He argued that in the time i took to step off the curb and before my foot landed on the roadway, that the signal changed.
