It's easier to name the major Linux FOSS projects that DON'T have drama and virtue signaling than the ones with.

If you read the Github comments on System-D, GNOME, etc, it's like watching children bickering on Sega VS Nintendo.

Turns out FOSS devs are humas just like everybody else and suffer from the same flaws.

You can just google this, there's like a million blogs out there parroting how to bypass TPM, its's not some incantation that only Microsoft had.

To corporations period regardless if they make DRM or not. Enterprises want any and all features under the security umbrella for their fleets.

The title is misleading. Microsoft deleted their article documenting the bypass, not the workaround itself.

It's the painful cost of maintaining backwards compatibility.

For context, I can still install and use Winamp 2.5 from 1999 on Windows 11. That's over 25 years of backwards compatibility. Not something most people need on a daily basis but still very cool.

Food isn't an apreciating asset who's value grows when you hoard it and is also easily transportable between free markets. I can't import cheaper land from abroad. I'm limited by what's around me. That scarcity gives it value. You can keep growing virtually infinite food in the same land. You can't do that with housing.
