<p>The post is AI-written, so I did not read it.  But based on title and abstract I'll have to disagree.<p>The native content LLMs understand is text.  They were literally trained on it.  They much prefer it to any arbitrary structure you could come up with.<p>We're used to think computers prefer content that is structured and binary etc; but with LLMs that changed.</p>

<p>Interesting article, but Qwen does seem to be closing off.  They don't release big variants anymore, and I'm not sure that the fact the local-LLM community keeps praising it actually increases the number of people using their API.<p>It did work for Deepseek for sure and it seems to move the needle for Xiaomi's MiMo; but will it be enough for Qwen and Gemma?  Those are the models you can actually run without going all-in on AI (but only with gaming GPUs and such).</p>
