I can attribute jumping several economic classes to the social skills I honed in high school and college. I have many friendships that are decades-plus and I had 150+ of my invited friends / family attend my wedding.

Emotionally, I do not long for new friends. It's a lot of work to maintain the relationships I have with my friends, family, wife and daughter.

I find aimless socialization these days to be laborious. I just do not give a shit.

I recently moved to NYC. I am at a point in my career where it's networking and politics that will get me ahead. I see a lot of my net-new socialization moving this direction.

I'll personally wait to own best hardware (Unitree) and purchase my own 3P tele-operation service contract.

We're replacing old-school bed alarms and call buttons in Senior Living facilities.

The bed sensors that we manufacture are strapped to beds and monitor for out-of-bed, potential infection and medication error via algorithms on-top of real-time vital sign data.

We mount always-on iPad in high traffic area for the nurses to grab alerts. Sirens are mounted in hallways to grab audible attention. The whole system is Zigbee 3.0.

Nurses are leaving the industry in droves. The "Silver Tsunami" is approaching rapidly. We're helping nurses scale and keeping elderly safer in their homes.

As archaic as HIPAA is, the tools that we have today to obfuscate PHI (e.g. tokenization) respect the individual's privacy. The major cloud infrastructure providers are all HITRUST certified and ready to sign BAAs to keep everyone accountable.

I think we're in a good place right now for innovation with healthcare data. Multi-modal (think genome + claims + social determinants of health) are starting to become a thing. As a population, we'll benefit from more targeted therapies.

Technology is catching up with the swaths of data that has been amassed since the 2000's. I hope for more innovation vs. shackling it with uninformed regulation.
