The baker comparison doesn't work. You don't see one guy or even three companies in Colorado controlling 99% of the messages going on cakes, globally, like you do with social media speech on Google/Facebook/Twitter platforms in California. Whether you like it or not, they are monopolies who are coordinating attacks on conservatives by stifling speech that is by and large perfectly legal in the US. Very concerning.

Good point, eSports likely won't really benefit from Optane that much over a 960 EVO or PRO, but if they get into the eSports scene early they'll get a lot of free advertisement from all the various CS GO / LOL / Overwatch streamers who tend to play many other games that might benefit from it.

NK Has strategic value to China more than anything I believe. Although, maybe China just doesn't know what to do with North Korea and therefore just tries to get along with them as best they can, or they are actually happy to have NK on a leash and remain friendly enough to keep NK from biting them.

I heard a professor tell a story about the founder of McDonalds going to a business class as a guest. He asked the students "What business am I in? Can anyone tell me?" and they all laughed, "why hamburgers of course". Then he corrected them. They're not just in real estate but they are very, very good at selecting franchise locations. The professor also claimed that Burger King's primary consideration on where to put their stores is the relative distance to McDonalds.

Perhaps he or his employer valued his timely flight at $5,000 or more while some other passenger would have gladly taken $501 in cash. Now it looks like United will end paying millions directly in court or settlement costs, plus many more millions in lost revenue due to negative publicity. Hopefully United, by paying his laywers will have bought themselves a clue and start offering real values to Volunteers. And other airlines will learn by proxy if they know what's good for them.

By US Culture my simple definition is the respect of the current laws of the US. The left doesn't respect some laws like immigration, so it's quite logical that they are for the mass influx of others who don't respect them either. That's how cultures change, quickly.
Not sure on "no-go zones", but did you see some jouralists got assaulted [0] when they went to investigate the crazy claims of violent muslim immigrants in Sweden?
[0] http://www.dailywire.com/news/13664/american-journalist-sava...

The Government is elected by the people, who have specific rights under the Consitution. Once you start letting other cultures, many of whom are hostile to US Culture walk freely across the border, the country won't last very long. You're seeing it play out in Germany, Sweden and other places where mass migrations has disrupted cultures and created pockets of lawlessness because the people have no affinity for their new governments. You might think they would be the most grateful people on earth, but that naive perspective assumes they were all really 'refugees' and that they all can simply forget their old cultures as soon as they cross the border.

Buying my first house gave me a high similar to some pain killers. Well, not literally, but it was so awesome having more space, more privacy, generally better neighbors and the ability to play music as loud as I want. I can also customize the interior any way I see fit. The thought of moving back into an apartment or condo is very depressing indeed.
In the end, people will keep trying to sell others on their own preferences, which is very much a nurture thing. If you grew up in the city, you're going to prefer the city. If you didn't, you probably won't enjoy living in the middle of downtown without a car. In fact, that prospect is extremely depressing and I'd honestly rather be dead myself than not have a car.

Haven't read the ruling, but from the Bloomberg story it seems the 9th circuit seemed to argue from a position of political idealism and not from the law. Maybe it's just buried in the decision but the Executive has long enjoyed full-control of the nation's immigration policies. In fact, Arizona was slapped down for trying to enforce immigrations at the state level that the federal was refusing to enforce under President Obama. It seems like this is just another highly politicized decision and most likely, Trump will simply re-do the order or recruit congress to enact new laws.
