To my mind these websites are equally user hostile, twitter is extremely confusing to people who just signed up, too much influencer spam and it makes you login to find out that the stuff is just influencer spam. People who started Twitter earlier have a way better experience.

I’ve done something similar and my guess is they preformed a migration in 2009 and didn’t want to force current users to provide phone numbers so they used the default value as a placeholder/note that reminds them to special case these users who were grandfathered in under the old rules.

YC will be found to play a tangential role in some kind of fraud. My reasoning is that the stock market crash has exposed many fraudulent companies, YC and its associated partners/orgs lend an air of legitimacy that fraudulent groups will want to co-oped.

What’s that speed of this look like vs. Python 3.11? in a world where Python is getting major improvements Ruby is such a direct competitor it too must show similar improvements.

I noticed there’s a huge push on this site to link Obama with negative policy’s. Look how many comments are flat out confused by the above post. It’s literally just a name drop. Like “something-something holocaust something-something George W Bush” level of criticism, not really adding anything to the conversation.
