Nice work! My local coffee shop uses square but I for some reason never redeem the stars, my wine shop has a physical punch card that I sometimes forget in my wallet when going. Seems like there’s room for experimentation in the area.

Would love a link to the demo if and when you’re open to sharing. I’m a product designer but not looking for projects, I’m mostly curious - this is one of the more unique ideas I’ve heard.

It's possible the OP was just trying out different storefronts and either doesn't have finalized assets or doesn't want to pull them up to try it out. When publishing or going live I agree with you, but in my experience most sitebuilders/storefronts have a draft / unpublished version - in which case uploading logos/product images/favicons/etc - isn't necessary until going live.

I don't think it's crazy that what you do for half your waking time has an effect in shaping you? It's like saying you're immune to advertising, you probably don't even notice all of the ways your work influences you.

Is there anyone on your team that just isn't around? Keeps a strict schedule - I've found that even working across time zones with tight deadlines, some people just have a hard stop.

I think most of us agree that you should leave if put on a pip...but I think we should remember that quitting prematurely may not be the best financial move for many as you'll need to rely on savings and not qualify for unemployment. It's certainly in the company's best interest if you feel stressed and shamed enough to quit early and save them the hassle.

I worked at Codecademy - you're right the getting stuck part hurts people moving forward, we spent a lot of time trying to help people without outright spitting it out - it was less about runtime errors and more about the concept. I'm not sure that an AI spitting out an answer is the right solution to help people learn - we also thought about different forms (projects, embeds in articles, tutors, etc)

Another Codecademy alumn is building a different learn to code platform - he wrote many courses and was always interested in teaching and providing resources.

All in all, they problems were learning and education problems rather than technical.
