Could anyone enlighten me as to why to use Obsidian in one's daily life ?
I have a dozen ideas popping a day and nothing comes close in terms of ease than a paper notebook for capturing and some apple notes equivalent for storage.
Used to have a Notion but all the "Second Brain" movement seems...fishy to me ?

What is the benefit ?
Sharing thoughts to the external world would be like going to a bakery and walking out with flour and eggs.
Isn't the act of talking/writing part of the thinking ? Am I just going to share intrusive thoughts and half-baked ideas to my CIA agent now ?

Hard to think it was written takes out fingers 86 years ago...?
Really makes me think that the so-called goal of life circles around those points.
And also I suspect most companies work with big consultants like Bain and McKinsey because they (the companies) are scared and clueless and have no vision about how to run their businesses, which is perfect for them (the big consultants) to extract value from them with smoke up their holes and predictions about a future no one has ever seen yet.

I have always found interesting that we thing as equivalent "different parts of the brain light up" and "good for the brain".
I say this as someone who has an tiny knowledge of neuroscience, but wouldn't you want sometimes to have low brain activity, for certain things?
Having the brain making more connexions and using more resources to do the same thing could be seen, from one point of view, as waste ?
Not that I disagree with the article, of course. Test results speak for themselves, but for example, when I am writing stories, do I need to "better remember" them, or do I need to go faster through my first draft ? (3 years and counting at the moment...wish me luck !)

David is the first instance of "awe" I had in my life. I truly feel blessed to have had that qualia, even if for a few seconds, to witness something larger-than-life. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awe
The fact that so many people report awe feelings with David hints at something very grand about Michaelangelo, or even humanity at large.
Did I feel that way because I did not expect the statute to be so large ? The strength displayed to be so soft ? Was there something in the air ?
The only other instance I had of such a feeling was at the Lake Louise, in Alberta (Canada). In both moments, I could remember the thought of seeing something that could not be in any point better than it is.

Honest question : does it need to be said ?
It's like the /s sign. Can some people not, for themselves, realize that this text is meant as a more or less a joke ?
Thanks for sharing, your comment made me teary.
I don't know how else to put it but I feel surrounded by automatons. I would do a lot to only interact with people like you on a daily basis. I was toying with doing the Mensa tests. Maybe I need to go back to school and take night philosophy classes ?
I sometimes feel sad "talking" to an AI because it is one of the few places where I feel like I can reach that third interaction profile you mention. Even writing it now makes me quite sad. My closed ones will never have any interest in the benevolant truth-seeking that I long for, and it always pains me to accept it.
If I meet someone like you, how could I reach you on that third level as fast as I can ? Maybe we meet on a waiting line for coffee. Maybe we will sit close to each other on a subway. How to tear through the bullshit of small talk to have a bit of that deep conversation I clearly lack ?
Again, thanks for the catharsis.
