Its not for a lack of trying. I spend a lot of time writing text that feel like I actually read the ad. I try to include details, show examples for the things I think are relevant and have others give their opinion on what I should improve or rephrase.

What is happening?

6 months ago my project was cancelled and the startup I was working for was going to reconsider its position. In the meantime everyone was sent home “awaiting further information”. Initially I didn’t think much of it. Surely as a full stack developer, I will find something else in no-time. Now, a little over 6 months I got invited twice to an interview, and that's it.
This isn't about not finding a job or not getting invited, it's about the lack of response. Anywhere. I apply for about 10 to 15 jobs aday, and I rarely get a response. I apply for freelance jobs and I almost never get a reply. I spend about 1.5 hours per day on different dating apps, and I almost never get a reply after a match. Whenever I find bugs or issues in open source projects, I try my best to submit bug reports or PR requests. More often than not I do not get any reaction. I sent over 150 bug reports to the Unreal Engine project, including stack traces and example code, and I have yet to receive the first reply. I posted my little resume on “HN: Who’s for hire” and I only receive mass target spam messages from what I assume are bots. In fact, almost all emails I get are untargeted, clearly sent by bots or automated scripts.
Just a couple of days ago, I got an email from a startup expressing their interest in my resume. After mailing back and forth a couple of times the conversation suddenly ended. No reaction. No reply to my last email. I asked them if they were still interested but never got anything back.
I submitted a loan application to one of the world's largest banks and received no response by phone, email, or text. I can cite another 50 examples...
I asked people around me if they have been experiencing the same lack of interaction. Most of them seem to recognize the problem, but aren’t really bothered by it. I have no idea what to think of all this...

We have switched to Rust about 4 years back for most of our robotics and embedded control systems. I has been a blessing to move away from C/C++ after 10 years. Sure Rust has its problems and issues, especially when it comes to async and concurrency. Yes it has a steep learning curve, yes the compiler gets in the way often but the number of _actual_ bugs (not design flaws) is probably less than 10 over 4 years. Every time I work on a C/C++ i'm painfully reminded how easy it is to shoot yourself in the foot. I hope coreutils and Rust in the kernel will eventually become the default

Sofar I've owned 4 Tesla cars and never had any serious issues that were not addressed immediately. My current Model Y had a cracked roof, they replaced the glass within a couple or hours. Here in The Netherlands inspections are mandatory for all cars every 1/2 years. I've noticed the tires may not be as durable as they should be but no idea how they stack up against another EV.
Anything you use and use a lot needs maintenance, especially if you rely on it, that goes for you're electric toothbrush as wel as your car. Its a utopica to think EVs somehow need less upkeep.
Sure build quality can be improved here and there, and over the last 4 years I have seen Tesla's cars become better. To me regular OTA updates, up-to-date map, apps, an actual working charging network and range are more important than having all the panels aligned withing a couple of milimeters.
