When I saw the headline I was really hoping this meant that made their site responsive.

Github is pretty much unbearable using a tiling window manager.

I was just debating the merits of going with one of the lightweight jquery substitutions for a phonegap app. This couldn't come at a better time.

Dropping the cruft and supporting 1.9 is such a wonderful way to go. Congratulations on a great release jquery team.

I'm not sure about books, but I can offer a bit of advice.

Try and get a friend who is good at Linux. Standing over the shoulder and watching someone using Bash, vim, etc helps a lot. I share some tidbit of system usage almost daily with my roommate and its done wonders for me.

A seriously impressive email. As many before me have stated this is a bad situation for SendGrid and I wasn't sure if firing their employee was a good move on their part. This post does a wonderful job addressing everything it needs to in a concise, and appropriate way. Kudos to SendGrid for the wondrous job navigating a very sticky situation.

Depression at any level is very real and very serious. Most people will tell you to talk to friends and family. You will be alone, it will be hard; but most importantly, you will be OK. It does get better.

There would be a trend where people drawing the future tend to draw things they would want in the future. Which in turn society tends to build things they want. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts.

There’s an ongoing debate about whether startups should focus on harder problems.

Is there a really a debate or am I missing something? This is honestly the first thing I have seen supporting not solving a problem.

Really I think there is a place for both. He mentions avoiding the problem of search, which happened to be the foundation of a particularly successful company.

Reading this post I get a nice feeling of joy for belonging to the software community.

Being so entrenched in the software world it becomes easy to gloss over these details. The outside perspective of this article really shines a light on how well the software community collaborates and shares.

I can't think of a single community that even comes close to the level of collaboration we have in software.
