<p>I would suggest to crop your screenshots down to the OS being featured.  It's a bit confusing to see a picture labeled as IBM AIX but then see GNOME 2 window decorations everywhere.</p>

<p>This is a little project I've been working on to cast my laptop's screen to a remote display (e.g. a conference room projector or my living room TV).<p>It uses WebRTC + p2pt for a signalling server, and is hosted completely on Github pages without a backend.<p>It supports casting your camera, screen, and YouTube URLs (for videos where iframe embedding is allowed) with remote scrubbing and media controls.  It is not compatible with the Chromecast protocol in any way.</p>

<p>I guess we'll see in 5 years how well these comments will age.  I can easily see a future where 3rd party apps are not allowed anymore.<p>The harder it is to install 3rd party apps, the less people will do it and therefore care about it.  When few enough people care, it will be easy for Google to justify turning it off.  e.g. "Only scammers/hackers use APK installs"</p>
