Everytime I use Gemini, the pro paid version, it ends almost every interaction with "This relates perfectly with <random personal fact it memorized about me> do you want to learn how it connects to that!?"
and it is just annoying and never useful or interesting. Hilariously hamfisted.
I'll be asking about linear programming and it's trying to relate it to my Italian 1 class or my previous career.

Creating a strong image to adversaries, aka deterrent, is a key function of all nations militaries. But the US conducts tough rigorous exercises against impossible odds constantly. All ground forces are rotated through NTC and JRTC where expert opfor units are given all the toys, home-field advantage, and usually win.

I managed to write a fairly large GTK application without the GTK type system encroaching on my code at all. It just meant hooking a bunch of lambdas in where they want you to be inheriting from and extending their own classes to allow all the parts to communicate together.
In the end it wasn't that messy, but probably confusing for anyone used to writing dogmatic GTK applications.

We aren't used to draconian internet control in the west yet, in China and Russia the population is. Everyone who's anyone just uses a VPN and uses western internet when they like. China banned western social media for the exact same reason that the US wanted to, they were just ready to do it earlier.
