If we’re going to use this kind of metaphor, I would say Firefox is just doing a mixed job of cleaning up the mess Google made on your carpet.

If you want to compare Obama and Trump insofar as “presidents generally don’t do 90% of what they say” that is valid but to imply their admins are/were anything alike beyond that would be ridiculous. I’m assuming that’s not what you mean but I just need to throw that out there.
The only other obvious comparison is the typical expansion of executive power we’ve (unfortunately) come to expect, though like the previous comparison, with Trump it’s different by orders of magnitude.

"The Galactic Hub" is the best. Very active community, ongoing ambitious projects (many completed), it's really so much fun. It's also easy to get in to it. They have a "taxi service" on discord where a user gets on the mic and coordinates with you to bring you to the hub worlds so you don't have to do it manually.
If you're remotely considering it, join up. I hop on every month or two and it's a treat.

I was about to say, we are over a decade now into "the Trump show," any excuses about his outsider status or not knowing stuff is gone. Trump is the establishment. These people voted for The Man and his plans. Then when we say "look what he did" (assuming they can even acknowledge a critique is valid) they go "well you made us vote for him." I swear I'll lose it if another Romney-Republican who believes this is a blip or whatever shares me yet another Peggy Noonan piece.
It's ridiculous. No responsibility taken.

For those reading this, it does not work with Firefox (or anything not safari it seems). Wish I had looked that up before excitedly purchasing it lol but so it goes, seems like a good project so I’m considering it a $5 donation
Edit: looks like starting with ios26 they have “filtr” mode which extends more broadly to other apps but “stick to safari for best results”

Well chrome is obvious. Firefox always triggers the same complaints about Mozilla foundation. They’re valid, but the dog pile is always very striking. At the end of the day Firefox is a great browser and has enabled a bunch of great forks all outside of the chromium ecosystem. We can be critical and should be, but again, it’s very intense sometimes. Google is clearly worse.

Alternate headline:
“After three years of unprecedented investment including governments, Facebook, and Google dumping money into the promise of AI, ChatGPT still has over 50% of the traffic.”
Also, grok isn’t been on that list, further proving that no serious people use it.

Yet apparently people still dump unvetted LLM outputs onto their colleagues and expect them to thank them for the privilege. So it’s worth asking them what the consensus is of their work to find out if it’s the case.
