When I was an undergrad (35 years ago) I had at least 2 days a week where I was so busy that I had to choose between eating or sleeping. I usually picked eating because not sleeping meant I could pick up another shift or grind on a class project (also because I was young... if I tried that now I'd probably die)

I would be very interested to see how these laws deal with camera systems that do not do ALPR. At work, we had a system that would scrape offline video and pull faces, plates, etc. and identify them and that system is over 15 years old. No AI, no ALPR.

There's nothing stopping you from buying an LPR and publishing the data. Also, with a PI license, you (might) be able to access the nationwide Nlets LPR Index.

They also have to be feeling the heat of the ASIC vendors. AMD just acquired Taalas and they work with Cerebras all the time on special projects. ASICs outgun nVidia's chips by an order of magnitude.

Rat and mice infestations are not fun. I have had enough trouble dealing with my pollinator and monarch butterfly habitats and mice. I actually TRY to get rabbits and squirrels but mice go after their babies.

California has both very high taxes on gas and a custom formulation that is only used in California... which is just about the most Californian thing I can think of.

There's at least one systems integrator selling a rack server with 2x MI350Ps.

I haven't seen the cards all by themselves yet.

There are plenty of blacks (and latino, indian, phillipino) in my neigborhood as it's a firmly middle class neighborhood. What we don't want is CRIME and transient residents that don't care about the area along with the landlords that are out of state.

I purposely bought my house in a federal and state historic neighborhood so that I wouldn't have to wake up one morning and discover I was back in a dense neighborhood. I lived in downtown urban environments from age of 18 to 52. That was enough. There are plenty of high density housing options being built all over my city downtown including office building conversions. I'm all for it. That's just not how I want to live and I should have that choice.
