I definitely struggle at playing using artistic pieces. I had one set when I was a kid: it was so much more difficult to recognize patterns with its metal pieces: sometimes I even couldn't distinguish black from white.

But they were pretty as hell, and I absolutely loved it.

Plus, this sentence in the original post I replied to really struck me as absurd: "Content-neutral time, place, and manner restrictions aren't censorship".

Let's imagine a country bans the distribution of all writings by authors in another country/region disregard of the content. It would not be censorship according to the original post.

The fact that a ban encompasses a wide variety of content could mean simply that it is difficult/undesirable to limit the scope of the ban, but the censorship always originates from the content.

My take is most users (who generate these posters) are not aesthetically astute and/or care enough to put in more effort.

My point is - copyright is also a "content related" reason: some site is banned because the content of the site is infringing the copyright of someone else.

In the end, all censorship is content related. One could definitely argue along the spectrum of "all" to "none" censorship is appropriate, but I would guess most people actually hold the belief that "some" censorship is okay, while disagreeing on "which" censorship is okay.

If this is the case, then the bias problem is indeed relevant.

In China's case, it is a very well known and documented fact that heavy censorship is present. Of course if one thinks additional knowledge on that is useful enough to solicit wide user participation, that is certainly one way of thinking.

They do not. But it is pretty pointless I would guess: probably most of the domains this tries to visit will be blocked.

Anna's Archive is prevented by some countries from visiting because of its (presumably illegal) content. All restrictions are based on its content.

I didn't have "replace" in my mind. I 100% agree with you that AI cannot replace human educators, but I am hopeful that as a supplementary tool, AI can achieve a lot.

On your point of MOOCs and YouTube lectures: I agree that the latter is sufficient for me, but there's nothing stopping AI from creating something similar, or even better: lectures tailored to my specific interests and needs. MOOC failed for me exactly because it wasn't "for me" - I might as well try and find a YouTube playlist.

These are all tangential, of course. I don't know how this specific thing would turn out.

May I ask why? If by "not the same" you meant: AI is not at the level of a good human educator, it is a fair argument - but not many humans can afford to have a one-to-one human educator either.

Perhaps I am a bit more optimistic, but if AI could give me, let's say, 90% of an average lecturer's capability, at 10% of the price or even less, that is probably extremely valuable. (For one, I would certainly be interested in learning new things that otherwise wouldn't make sense financially)

(1) An inmate is not allowed (essentially, by the society) a specific diet dictated by his/her belief; and, (2) A poor person cannot afford (essentially, because of the society) a nutritious and delicious meal dictated by his/her needs or wants.

What are the differences between them? Are there differences at all?

'Open' and 'for everyone' doesn't have to mean 'not following government's orders'. The last sentence of yours is a non sequitur.

Also, in today's environment with the US using AI in active wars while blocking whole models from even its own citizens, the words you say against the Chinese government is particularly weak.
