Those rules around special gasoline were made when both federal and California car exhaust regulations were much looser than today, and electric cars were a complete pipe dream. I've seen estimates ranging for savings from $.25 to $1 per gallon if California dropped the requirements.
>Would you really want to hurt children for cheaper gas?
Nice appeal to emotion.

The article says that Disney wants to move the current sequels to a brand new timeline which implies that this new timeline is an official timeline in the sense that it's blessed by Disney, but it's not the timeline that most people would consider to be the official timeline, aka the timeline where the original and sequel trilogies happened. It's basically Disney going "Well, we can't ditch this, but it kinda sorta happened, but not in the timeline you think it did. Surprise!".
Meanwhile, anybody with 2 brain cells to rub together is going to look back at how Disney marketed this originally and think "Whatever you say, my guy".

It's one thing to make a bunch of stinkers, but then to pretend that said stinkers were in a completely alternate timeline through some sleight of hand retconning is absolutely bonkers and will fool approximately zero people.
Let's hope that this is just what it claims to be: a rumor.

This is exactly it. I feel like I see more posts bitching about Anthropic than OpenAI, yet at the same time it seems like nobody moves away from Anthropic. As long as the strategy works, why bother changing it?

There's a fourth option: the frontier labs are used by businesses who require (or think they require) the very best models and want to outsource model compliance such as HIPAA to someone else, and then individuals/smaller companies use the open source models.

Looking at the space/game/earthquake tracker examples makes me hopeful that OpenAI is going to focus a bit more on interface visual development/integration from tools like Figma. This is one area where Anthropic definitely reigns supreme.

Anthropic definitely takes the cake when it comes to UI related activities (pulling in and properly applying Figma elements, understanding UI related prompts and properly executing on it, etc), and I say this as a designer with a personal Codex subscription.

If you look at Figmas stock price, it started falling right at 11 AM as this news was released.
Anyways, this is 100% a shot at Figma, but also catching Lovable in the crossfire. If anybody from Anthropic is reading this, if you keep developing this with features in Figma and other design tools, you'll have a major hit on your hands.

I realize Trump is being used as a hook here, but isn't the real story the fact that at this point solar is completely viable to build without federal subsidies? As the article notes, the OBBB axed a lot of solar subsidies, yet 73% of all new solar last year was installed in states that voted for Trump, which probably don't have solar friendly subsidies.

>I imagine it's legally risky to buy a large quantity, test it, and then resell smaller quantities
It is illegal, but it doesn't stop people from doing it. In fact, if you don't have any sort of test results for your peptides people will absolutely avoid buying your wares until you have them. Purity and mg/ml are the 2 basic test results that any shop worth their stuff will have.
