Why would they want to target regular devs right now? If they sold to regular devs instead of enterprises, the complaint wouldn't be about model choice, it'd be about how expensive it.

This is great news! I think people forget how anti-skin cancer protocols even as simple as applying suntan lotion weren't as popular as recent as 50-60 years ago. Lots of "sun children" of the 50s and 60s are now feeling the repercussions of only applying baby oil and are getting hit with lots of melanoma.

Good to know! If I could make one suggestion, it'd be great to have an example or two in the press release where you have a prompt, and show what the newest model and the prior model made. This would make it super easy to compare the differences between said models.

I actually do know someone who's building a small community with Lovable. It's not a big community and he's still figuring out how to/if he wants to monetize it, but it's all done via Lovable.

As a designer, I'm always hesitant to believe these statements until there's independent comparisons between the old & new model, as well as comparisons to human made flows. Design can be so subjective that blanket statements like this seem almost useless.

The Maverick is pretty small compared to other trucks. Smaller than a Ranger, and much, much smaller than the quarter and half ton trucks.

I pay attention and don't live in a bubble, and I still think it's absolutely absurd to let the overuse of your countries flag by a specific political group dictate how you feel about seeing said flag.

It's not like the Bank of Americas of the world are going to get an Anthropic or OpenAI API key, and then use the prompt "move this off of COBOL please". They'll either hire a contractor who'll work out how to best utilize AI to migrate the existing codebase off of mainframes, or spin up an internal team to do the same thing.

I've noticed that a lot of my friends switched from text based status updates (Facebook) to image based status updates (Instagram stories). Personally, I got tired of going on Facebook because it was all rage baiting political stuff, and that was all from friends, not even ads.

As someone who's looking for a job, this is what I fear. How does one distinguish themselves from the thousands of other people who say "Claude, write a cover letter for this company, make no mistakes", and their cover letter has the same tone as every other cover letter?
