It's not good for the economy when no one is willing to move for the next 20-30 years. And it's not good for the people who are unable to move to chase a better job as well.

There's not a constant cutoff. It depends a lot on what the president and the administration do. Does the president push the button and start nuclear war? They are the primary driver for the new economy. Does the president continue the same policies that were working for the last decade and continue to work for the length of their presidency? They might never be the primary driver.

It also prevents those storms from dissipating the energy. So once the jet stream moves north again, bigger than otherwise storms will happen.

PG-13 didn't exist in 1981. It went straight from PG to R. So less loosening of restrictions, and more adding gradation.

Buying 3 different sizes of a shirt because manufacturers refuse to standardize on sizing information and returning 2/3 of them seems like a standard practice for buying clothes online. Not sure why you think the stores don't account for the returns.

Excellent point. We can look at the reasons for the prediction as well as the result in assessing its value. It seems hard to do in practice unless you are evaluated by someone who makes better predictions, but it would be interesting.

It depends on what type of thing you are predicting and why. Even something as simple as "Enron will implode" in 1995 has very different levels of usefulness if you are planning to short a stock versus figuring out what stock to buy and hold in your retirement account.
