The solution to this problem without needing to modify your message is to use a protocol that will sign, then encrypt, then sign again. See section 5 here [1] or section 15 here [2].
[1] https://theworld.com/~dtd/sign_encrypt/sign_encrypt7.html

Instead of using the reviver you can deserialize as a plain string, then later reassign the property as the type you want. E.g.:

 const myObject = JSON.parse(text);
 myObject.date = new Date(myObject.date);

There is a standard, Sound Transmission Class [1]. STC-50 is generally considered to be a good level of sound isolation.
"[...] false information and conspiracy theories, whose prevalence may lead people to doubt the very existence of 'truth' or a shared reality."
This is an insane modern take that I have yet to understand. Can anyone shed some light on how this notion of subjective truth came to be? There have always been conspiracy theorists and rumor spreaders and communities within which they flourished, and discerning the reputation of a source of information has always been a required skill in order to not fall victim to actors like these. What changed?

Are they serious? VRChat is already better than this in every way. Graphics quality, frame rate, full body tracking, face tracking, legs... Not to mention being able to make your own maps and avatars. I get that this for mobile platforms but VRChat also has Quest support that is better than this.

My go-to method to strip formatting was Win+R, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+X (or C), Esc. This opens the run box, pastes the text (without formatting, because it's the run box), selects it, copies it, and closes the run box. It can be done quickly and entirely with the left hand.
Then I found this neat little program [1] that will paste without formatting for you with a single hotkey.
[1]: http://stevemiller.net/PureText/
