Like other commenters I was also confused at the "~$800" comment.
I tried this myself, picking a time a few weeks in the future (round trip April 15th to 22nd). Round trip as I'm assuming you'll want to go there and come home.
All of the following info is for ATL to Washington-Area airports (BWI, DCA, IAD). Amtrak is for Atlanta to Washington Union Station
Delta (20+ nonstop a day every 30min or so, ~2hrs flight time):
- ~$244->$304 Main
- ~$444->$504 Comfort+
- ~$769-$974 First
Amtrak (11:29PM->1:47PM, 14h18m):
- $356 Coach
- $1107 Private Room (Roomette)
I'm sure that a more accurate analysis would include a spread of days.
In general, this means that with the train you'd increase your travel time by ~26 hours round trip (over a whole day) while also paying ~$112 more.
(Note that the Amtrak website prices each leg independently while Delta prices round trip, I made sure to go all the way to the cart to gather the end pricing)
I was curious so I also did a trip much sooner (March 30th to April 6th):
Delta:
- $616-$665 Main
- $785-$800 Comfort Plus
- $1065 First (they were all priced the same)
Amtrak:
- $517 Main
- $1369 Private Room (Roomette)
So for a much sooner trip you do save ~$100 for the tradeoff of ~26 hours more time spent.
It's also worth noting that this route's travel occurs primarily at night, in the dark. This means both trying to sleep on a train as well as not being able to see much outside as it'll be dark most of the ride.

I'm confused...
> I brought a foil wrapped breakfast burrito through security
> This was years before 9/11
Given that Airport security wasn't implemented until after (and because of) 9/11, how would you have passed through security with a burrito before 9/11?

For context, LMStudio has had a CLI for a while it just required the desktop app to be open already. This makes it where you can run LMStudio properly headless and not just from a terminal while the desktop app is open.
`lms chat` has existed, `lms daemon up` / "llmster" is the new command.

I found the palm payment at Whole Foods to be very convenient for the same reason as others in this thread.
The steps without using Amazon One were
* open the amazon app
* open the checkout thing
* click the QR code button
* click the amazon QR code
* Scan it
* Open Apple Wallet
* Pay
I hope that they will at least add the amazon QR code to apple wallet to make payment faster in store. That or something to make payment (with Amazon Prime link) as fast as with Amazon One even while not continuing Amazon One itself.
I wonder if they could use a NFC tag or something to quickly open the amazon app on your phone to pay or something?

Got mine in today (Surface Pro 11th Gen). Overall a big meh. Performance was okay, Battery life was okay. Returning mine due to Microsoft's lackluster Surface line being the actual worst machine I've used in years. Most things ran aside from Persona 5 for some reason.

You can also just directly connect to containers using Tailscale if it's just for internal use. That is, having an internally addressable `https://container_name` on your tailnet per-container if you want. This way I can setup Immich for example and it's just on my tailnet at `https://immich` without the need for a reverse proxy, etc...
https://tailscale.com/blog/docker-tailscale-guide
