Not as clever as it may sound. It is perfectly possible that someone has nothing to hide in a good way, whereas someone without anything to say for himself cannot be easily imagined as a good faith social individual. So in a way this is comparing apples to bad apples and claiming they are perfectly equal.

This is a strage phenomenon where people get excited by the mere fact that someone else is excited by something which is not directly visible to the spectator. It works well in horror movies and as it seems with AI hype.

I feel HN has become a lot less philosophical, more techy over the last couple of years. The political devide can also be felt. Does it make happy? Probably not. it‘s like the news. And for tech news it’s actually quite good.

I have trouble figuring what this is about. You could read it as „don’t fall for hustle culture“ or „don’t work hard, work smart“ which is just a different version of hustle culture. May also be a warning on AI and the cost of trying to stay afloat.

It‘s not so easy. LinkedIn is not solely about searching job. It provides a window into the world of coworkers, friends and managers alike. These are the fellow humans we like to watch and listen to. As a species we are well versed doing so which results in most of us watching and some of us providing content trying to get attention and (most of the time) making a fool of ourselves. We just cant help ourselves.
