I don't want to have to pay licensing costs for books I read since I "trained" on it.

I'm deeply concerned my children will have to pay rent for the rest of their lives for the schooling they got.

The issue is we don't know if they texted the carpenter or had a detailed design discussion followed by detailed follow up and tweaks.

People often assume one extreme or the other, but in my opinion, this is where these disagreements stem.

The problem is if they used it for a slide, they could have used it to design a part or code or something else.

These blanket rules are very typical in large organizations.

100% There are implementations that have sane behavior for "UB" instead of making it an excuse to misbehave.

The ISO standard is not the same as a language from a single vendor.

My comments are not "corporate-biased", they are business owner biased, which includes small businesses.

Employment is an free arrangement between two entities, not a modern day serfdom where the employers are now responsible for their serfs housing, food, etc.

Each side has incredible freedom. There are downsides to them.

Employees can take up a huge amount of resources and then leave before costs are recovered.

What I got from this is if we mandate the hospitals open their rooms to the sun, the new correlation will cause people to avoid the sunlight because "it leads to more deaths"

So "enough of us" can take anything by forcing the asset to be valued at an artificially high value, force them to sell it for taxes, and then reduce the price down again to keep it ourselves?
