Thank you. Strange, I'm not seeing any video under the first main text or anywhere on the website. After the main text I see "On your iPhone" with 2 screenshots immediately below and then 1 underneath those. Then the rest, but no video.

If a name and the address associated 'votes', how long before that initial vote is noted in the system? I'm assuming a situation in which there's fake slips out there, or a subsequent digital vote comes in. When is the discrepancy flagged?

Ideally children are taught more about what voting is at school. Additionally they could vote in elections with their vote recorded but not counted. So they get into the swing of it. This might avoid rampant apathy, which suits extremes. Sidenote, I wouldn't want you to read into this I am ignorant just how third rate most political parties and their policies have become.

I said 16 yo should've had a Brexit vote/say because, especially in this case, it's the kids that reap the choices made.

More Generally 16 year olds are old enough to take part in democracy vote-wise, and maybe in all votes too. The point being - look at the short term, actually make that 'not long term', policies being made now by us olds, they don't favor young people, on the whole - or their children.

55%, maybe. But that still leaves a divided country for decades afterwards. It was handled badly from start to finish. Many 'remainers' didn't take the threat serious enough. Never under estimate your opponent.

It was virtually 50/50 and should not have proceeded. The bar to leave was set too low. 2/3rd better, and larger turnout should have been mandated. 16 year olds should have voted. The campaign to stay too weak. Mass confusion. Some particularly pernicious lies on the leave side too convincing. Brexit wasn't 100% going to happen, it was more like...

Just to follow up. Is it your contention (basically) that any interaction with any of the Five Eyes country is suspect? I realise this puts (guesses off top of head) 95% of all internet traffic, theoretically including such 'privacy focussed' open source projects emanating from the five eyes/95%, as suspect too. Are we all incapable of being apart from that 95% (assuming you're in that 95%)?

You're suggesting total surveillance as an answer. That's going to happen then everyone will be oppressed in mo time at all.

Your examples and grievances are real and shared by me and many reading your comment, however, maybe let's start by making sure police are accountable? At the same time stop employing thugs and racists. Stop giving them weapons and a uniform. And make them unaccountable for (as the rest of the world see it) out and out cold bloodied murder.

Interesting. Should any email provider based in any of the 5 Eyes (or even 14) be avoided? But I feel, particularly for everyday folk, we have reached the point at which avoiding some level of surveillance is now virtually impossible.
