Not true according to a CGPT question:

More importantly, the current dev branch source for packages/opencode/src/session/summary.ts shows summarizeMessage() now only computes diffs and updates the message summary object; it does not make an LLM call there anymore. The current code path calls summarizeSession() and summarizeMessage(), and summarizeMessage() just filters messages, computes diffs, sets userMsg.summary.diffs, and saves the message.

While I don't have OpenClaw installed and not sure how I 'd use it I doubt all the hype around it is because it doesn't solve a real problem. The project grew to huge popularity organically!!!

How can that happen if it doesn't serve a need people have?

Is it really re-writing - legally - if you are starting from the codebase itself? Not a lawyer, am wondering however if the Google vs Oracle Java lawsuit has some implications for this.

It was also not a bug to be exploited.

It was a complicated product that many people worked in order to develop and took advantage of many pre-existing vulnerabilities as well knowledge of complex and niche systems in order to work.

I m wondering why they are trying to build a competing product rather than a successor product?

The digital euro could be a good candidate here and it also aspires to have cash-like privacy features. It's also mentioned in the article as separate and hopefully non overlapping product.

Your body makes Vitamin D when in sunlight. Could it be that sunlight - and the whole being outdoors situation - is the thing that helps rather than vitamin d levels?

Fedora Silverblue user here. Lutris (from flatpak) can play GoG games fine (*).

(*): Apparently achievement support even on single player games requires the gamestore client (GoG client in my case) and Lutris doesn't support that yet. Am old enough to not care :p

Skimmed through the blog post, interesting info and dig downs. Hate when I have to do something similar :o

I m curious why the author didn't test other Linux distros, either ones that use GNOME or MATE (for example) Desktop Environments, or stick with X11.

But then he is an arch user, and I'm not, hence I'm obviously missing something :p

The web without ublock origin is a hellscape. Whenever I try another browser, I immediately go back to firefox.

Do these people even know their users?

For example: Fedora Silverblue default Firefox install had an issue with some Youtube videos due to codecs. So I tried watching youtube on Chromium. Ads were so annoying I stopped watching by the second time I tried to watch a video. Stopped watching youtube until I uninstalled default firefox install and added Firefox from flathub. If the option to use a good adblocker gets taken away I 'll most likely dramatically reduce my web browsing.

P.S. Maybe someone ports Vanadium to desktop Linux? If firefox goes away that 'd be my best case desktop browser. Using it on my mobile ;)
