Opening a terminal in admin window which means any commands you put in that windows will always have admin privilege, no matter what.
What does Sudo is to only provide the root/admin privileges for specific inputted command. Once it is done, it goes back to user privileges. This way, the terminal window didn't need to end the session to go back to user privileges.

You can boot usb from UEFI. The only tool that I found is best to handle is Rufus. I used it to clean install my Windows through UEFI. Even Linux Live USB works. BalenaEtcher gives me problems, Rufus does it well for me.
Also I remember there is a setting in UEFI to allow booting from USB.

There are both side of the coin when it comes to at-will employments with layoff. They can use it to get rid of high paying employees to hire lowest quality of employee for little pay that will affects the quality of their product. And they don't care because it looks good on their balance sheet. And there is no recourse for high paying employee against the company (unless they have a signed contracts that have a clause to prevent this).
My former job laidoff few people because of high paying salary. They got high salary because positions required a specialized and niche knowledge for their jobs. They are good at what they do which earned their justification for high paying. It took the company a year to hire a barely qualified person because they don't want to increase the pay after declined job offers from multiple potential candidates.

I found Edge to be useful for Enterprise/Business environment. My previous job uses Office 365 E3 (and their email server) and entrenched with them for various external services such as MS Authenticator for SSO. It is easier use Edge for SSO since I don't need to keep typing out the complex password for my job. Whenever the password prompt show up in Edge, I click my work email account and it automatically log me in. I have one desktop and one laptop for remote work, it simpler with SharePoint/OneDrive to keep my work data synced between both computer. Edge have their uses in Enterprise/Business setting.
For personal use, I rarely use Edge. I only uses them for websites that have an issue with my Firefox with uBO and strict CORS. I avoid Chrome like it is a plague.

> I blame Windows Defender (anti-virus).
It would be nice if Windows Defender tone down their on-the-fly aggressive scanning for anything I/O related. For any I/O activity, it regularly consumes up to 30% of my CPU. Moving files to a different directory rev up Windows Defender even it scans the folder in the past.
I wish there is a granular control over Windows Defenders in a way that it would not be aggressive with every I/O activity. I would assume that Microsoft intentionally did this due to rise of randomware attacks and we unfortunately have inept people who mindlessly clicking anything. And they don't want to be liable for being lax.

YouTube will re-encode videos to optimize their playback experience. Which means there will be a generational loss in the re-encoding. YT have maximum requirements for their playback. If the source file exceed those, they will lower it.
Handbrake is useful for lots of things. My partner have to upload his dissertation defense video and the university have strict requirement of the formats. He used Handbrake to convert his video to their formats of choice. It works well for him on his aging 10 years old MacBook Pro (upgraded the HDD to SSD years ago).

My issue with online ordering is that I will be missing higher degree of customizability, options and allergies for some case. Online ordering does not cover edge cases. If I like the ingredients that comes with the food, then online ordering is awesome. If I want to further customize it, I am limited to online ordering offerings (in some case, I barely could).
I found in-person ordering is reliable enough that they know what I am asking for and could try to swap out a different menu to get me a cheaper price for the same quality. In online ordering, it didn't have an ability to do that. If I order a cheeseburger and remove the cheese, it is just a hamburger. In-person ordering knows that and would change it hamburger, the online ordering does not and keep it as cheeseburger minus the cheese while keeping it as cheeseburger price.

Could it help if the driver have those axes assigned to a different key to allow AHK to pick that up and AHK can change it as axes? I done that with my XP-PEN AC-19, I assigned the dial wheel to different keys in XP-PEN software and AutoHotInterception with AHK to pick that up. Then assigned it with wheelup/down depending on what active window I am on.

Apple is well known for their extremely optimized software due to their tight integration with hardware and software. This would make sense to keep it 8GB for Apple-only software idealistically. Realistically, those modern software are not optimized for any OS. I had MBA M1 4GB, it wasn't enough. I imagine macOS put memory compression to constant heavy use and swap.

My issue with updates/downloading is the lack of software manager to updates software in Windows. It was a pain to go to various websites to download a package and install/upgrade a updated version. Back then when I have Win 98SE, I relied on FileHippo to scan and provide information if there are updates for my installed software. In XP and Win7, I only update software that have issue or something that I need to check. It was nice for some software that come with their own updater. I was thinking about my experienxe with Ubuntu (Ibex version) with their apt-get and the package manager. To my surprise, there are package managers for Windows, Chocolatey and Scoop. This was before Windows Store come to fruitation. Chocolatey is my main package manager for my Windows and I had been using it ever since. This allows me to have a peace of mind for me to updates my software particularly command line tools, Chocolatey made it easy for me and automate the environment variables for me if the software needs it. And no more for me to open up Google and search for the name of the software, `choco search <app_name>` and it will give me a list of the software and I just install from there. I use `choco upgrade all -y` and it just handles it without needing my input further.

You can view pure HTTP website through VPN. It basically encrypted tunnel between you and VPN server through your ISP. So your ISP couldn't try to interject the encrypted connection.
However, your browser might prevent you from connecting to http due to strict https only policy. My browser will stop any connection to http page and throw up a warning.

One of the reasons is to prevent ISP and other to intercept the page and interject the codes before it arrives to the users. It a common method to put the payload in the http. I believe it called middle-in-the-man method. With https, it reduced a lot of attacks.
There was a news about Comcast interjected a Steam storefront page with a data cap warning on it to a Comcast subscriber. And this happened inside Steam app which was using http at the time.
