IMO, VR could be huge, but it’s never going to happen when the platform is so locked down.

Meta could of been the hardware leader of a thriving ecosystem, but instead they tried to replicate the walled garden of app stores that are failing in 2026.

It’s a hard problem. I’ve been working on it for the better part of a year.

Well, granted my project is trying to do this in a way that works across multiple devices and supports multiple models to find the best “quality” and the best allocation. And this puts an exponential over the project.

But “quality” is the hard part. In this case I’m just choosing the largest quants.

It’s simple calculus for business leaders: admit they’re laying off workers because the fundamentals are bad and spook investors, admit they’re laying off workers because the economy is bad and anger the administration, or just say it’s AI making roles unnecessary and hope for the best.

Compiling the symbols into a binary is not the bottleneck. Formalizing the contract for interacting with the real world is and always has been the bottleneck.

Valorant really is the only FPS where I was never once suspicious that someone may be hacking. I mean, I don’t play it and the anti-cheat is part of the reason, but it does absolutely work.
