This will be photography related, and I decided to share my recent discovery as it is very exciting for me and might be also for you.
Imagine seeing each photo you take (live view) on a huge screen anywhere you are, this will be exactly about it.
For a long time I was wondering whether it would be possible to use some sort of lightweight VR solution as a camera EVF replacement. Something which would allow me to see what camera sees in a more immersive way and be light and easy to operate enough to allow me to carry it anywhere. For a very long time this wasn’t possible, but now it finally is. Recently I discovered Xreal Air 2 Pro XR glasses, they offer 1080p (2Mpx) screen resolution per eye. They weigh 80g. They can be directly connected to HDMI with a little effort. They offer amazing color accuracy, very good contrast, as these are micro OLED screens, and they have a refresh rate 120Hz. The whole solution is also fairly inexpensive (around £500 for all). Apart from glasses I use a power bank, HDMI to USB-C converter with additional power delivery for glasses (tiny Lemorele HDMI to USB C Adapter, which I bought on Amazon), mini HDMI to HDMI coiled cable, short USB-C cable and USB-C cable bundled with glasses. The whole converter and power bank sits in my pocket, and my camera (Nikon Z6 in my case) and glasses are connected there. I also used their Android Nebula app once, to set glasses to never sleep.
This whole thing transformed the way how I and the camera interact a lot. They allow me to see what the camera sees and almost nothing else. This gives me an incredible sense of immersion and it feels like a modern version of focusing cloth. This allows me to use manual lenses like never before, as finally I can focus easily on such a big screen. It takes only a few seconds more to put on glasses and start shooting compared to traditional EVF.
This is seriously exciting for me to be honest.
PS. I’m not affiliated with anything which I mentioned, you can probably use other XR glasses too.
PS2 Photo of whole setup:

There are tons of reports of bans on the ClaudeAI subreddit (check the weekly top). My account was banned immediately after I created it.
