I find it useful, and use it almost daily. Helps answer "how to" questions for working on my house, development or just general questions. If I need more info, I just look at the links or videos which are also right there.
To each their own.

In web development, you mostly deal with data, sometimes you need to group that data, and some of these algos can help with that.
Most useful when you work with large datasets, if you can reduce a workload that takes hours into minutes or less, congrats, otherwise, you are forced to wait the hours. Either way, job security.

It's 3 weeks from Halloween and I decided to host a haunted garage at my house for our neighborhood. I drafted a layout of the garage, got donated decorations, spent $500 on amazon to transform the garage and found a great horror ambience on youtube.
Oh crap, its 1.5 weeks away now, and I need sound effects. All the apps have prefilled spooky sound effects. None of the apps let me auto-play sound effects, because I'm short on actors.
I do web dev, simple, I just make one. Tadah, in about an hour I got a prototype. In 4 hours I finished it. I had some boilerplate already done to get it up on a URL.
Next actual sound fx...
1. Download a few from free soundfx sites.
2. Crap, I need specific ones, found ElevenLabs, and generated my own, and downloaded a few already generated by others.
3. Upload to R2
4. Hardcode into the throwaway webapp
5. The show is ON.
Got a good 2.5 hours of about 200+ people, and sometimes the sound fx lined up perfect with actors scaring our guests. FUN!
Now, I'm showing it off on HN, before I throw it away. Goodbye.

It works for my P1S, but could use help testing on other printers.
I would love some help from a designer to make the stream overlay look sleek.
If you don't have Python setup, no worries, I made a zip file that has a Windows app.exe to run the app.
In the /static folder is the html/css/js files that let you customize the look and feel. The python app runs a webserver with websockets to share the live telemetry data from printer to browser.

There is a bit more nuance in using `this` in a named function that wasn't covered. Named functions defined in classes are scoped outside of the class, meaning they are not bound to the class. To use `this` in your named function, you usually have to bind it in the constructor using `this.functionName.bind(this)`
Arrow functions defined within a class are scoped and bound to the class automatically. Hence, arrow functions do not require calling the .bind in constructor, and you can happily use `this` inside arrow functions.

Doesn't AI have diminishing returns on it's pseudo creativity? Throw all the training output of LLM into a circle. If all input comes from other LLM output, the circle never grows. Humans constantly step outside the circle.
Perhaps LLM can be modified to step outside the circle, but as of today, it would be akin to monkeys typing.
