Voip.ms is fairly inexpensive (a couple dollars per month) and if you get an SMS-capable line you can set it up to forward incoming SMS to email. Edit: I have not tested it with short codes

This is a deep topic. First, God is not the author of evil [James 1:13, Ezekiel 33:10-11]. You can read through Genesis 2-3 to get a good idea of why we're separated from God in the first place. God doesn't owe us forgiveness- as Creator he has every right not to save anyone. It's out of His grace that forgiveness/reconciliation is offered. A lot of people have trouble with the idea of a God who punishes/will punish their wrongdoings, but the central message of the Bible (back to that Ezekiel reference agin) is that God saves us *because He loves us* and that we are saved not simply from our own evil, but from *His just wrath*.

How then is God a just judge, if He both promises to judge evil and refrains from punishing those who are forgiven? Their punishment is poured out on Jesus instead. That's the Gospel. He died willingly so that they can have life. If you believe, this is for you too.

I have a lot of things like this. Mostly one-offs for bizarre stuff, like a FUSE plugin that saves data to FAT-formatted image files. Some things, though, I consider useful enough to post on Github for people who might need it. My favorite (and most-used, personally) is an app I made to copy files off of my Panasonic cameras. They still work perfectly well, but the official app no longer works to send pics via wifi. I had to reverse-engineer the entire protocol stack from network traffic, it's a doozy. I ended up implementing SSDP from scratch and faking DLNA server support, along with the miserable SOAP protocol. It's a beautiful mess, but it works. Got me back into Android development too.

Yup, I took a Biblical Hermeneutics class last year and the level of agreement between modern texts and archeological evidence staggered me. Really opened my eyes to how God has preserved His Word throughout the centuries.

Llamafile might just be the easiest way to run a LLM locally. I tried it out and thought it was awesome, but perhaps a bit lacking in the server UI. In the spirit of simplicity, I made a single-file web page for interacting with Llamafile that I'm calling Llamaphone. The goal of this project is to make the barrier of entry as low as possible for an average user, and it doesn't get much simpler than a single html file.
