This is a pretty good collection of small utilities but I would recommend using GNU Parallel[0] instead of the included parallel. It contains a ton of extremely useful additional features such as distributing jobs to remote computers.
[0]: https://www.gnu.org/software/parallel/

Using Volafile to host the keylogger executable seems like a pretty bad choice considering that this website will delete your files after only 2 days. Or maybe this shouldn't surprise me so much considering the "skills" of the attacker.

>Take home message is that the users got very personal at the end of moot's tenure.
Yet, when he left, users from the most popular boards (and even separate imageboards!) made thousands of drawings, wrote songs and made videos to thank him and say farewell. I think the number of people that liked him vastly outnumbered those who legitimately hated him.

Don't quote me on that but I'm pretty sure that the data you add on IPFS isn't automatically replicated on participating nodes. Other nodes will only acquire the data when they request it.

I definitely agree, but it is still missing anonymity, which I consider extremely important. Of course it's built in such a way that you could run it on top of any anonymous network in theory but these networks are still way too slow to offer a good experience in my opinion.
Still, I'm super excited every time I hear people talking about it.

I think that adding a few other user-friendly distributions such as Fedora or Mint in the "Install Linux" step might be a good idea.
Also, I haven't really followed the developments on this story but Ubuntu did effectively spy on you at some point by sending your searches to Amazon, considering this it is a pretty bad choice to recommend it in my opinion.

I'm into 3D modeling. It's challenging and makes you always think ahead of what you are currently doing. It has a lot of similarities to programming actually, except that since it's my hobby I'm not trying to be extremely productive and allow myself to work at a slow pace. It is pretty relaxing.
Being somewhat familiar with a 3D workflow will also make you appreciate videogames or the CGI you see in movies even more.
It also has tons of applications. As an example, I recently moved into a new place but I wasn't sure all my furniture would fit into my room, so I made a rough 3D model of the room and of my stuff and quicky tried different configurations to see which one would work the best.
I've also picked up photography. I don't like sports but I don't mind walking, so it's a great way to actually go outside instead of sitting at my desk all day. On the downside it is pretty addictive and can quickly become very expensive.

Because GamerGate was brewing to become the new chanology, which would have been a disaster for the whole website.
As for 8chan I guess it's because its address was being spammed constantly on every board and it's also considered advertising.
