IME (also observing other drivers), the usual multi-lane roundabouts are something you get comfortable with after just a little spaced repetition and then it's not all bad.
There are major cities in those countries with a few exceptionally gnarly ones, though. I don't blame if you're traumatized if you ever found yourself circling Arc de Triomphe in Paris, for example.

He primarily uploads publishes all his material, alongside with Jerry Jackson et al, to his own website[0]. I remember subscribing to it over RSS as a kid and his stuff would always drop there first. Might be some gems to discover if you haven't browsed it before (: Newgrounds, ebaumsworld etc were all reuploads [1].
[0]: https://www.fat-pie.com/
[1]: At least ebaumsworld was notorious for the bad kinds of piracy. albinoblacksheep, newgrounds, and somethingawful, were the major hubs outside of other individual creator sites like weebls and lemondemon otherwise IIRC. Firth did publish himself on NG, and later on YouTube. But I think he only appeared as himself on YouTube like a decade or so after Salad Fingers first went viral. https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/276616 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EBaum%27s_World#Copyright_infr...

> This is one of the major problems with the Nordic model I would say.
I'd say it's a key factor to why it can sustain at all.
Compare to tech startups and big tech where I imagine the majority of those who would be able to drive a union are already intertwined enough in leadership that they feel prevented from organizing due to conflict of interest.

> Sweden probably has more people in prison for drug possession than America.
Don't know if you picked Sweden in particular intentionally but they are very much an outlier of their own when it comes to drug-related crime. Simple possession of small quantities for personal use can still have you end up in jail or even prison for up to 6 months.
They're still all-in on the War on Drugs.

I am pretty sure that even in France, getting caught with possession of <1g of cannabis while nowhere near a vehicle won't be very likely to get you detained, fined 1000s of EUR-equivalent and having your drivers license restricted pending you showing up for regular urine samples.
This is roughly what you should expect if you get busted carrying one joint in Sweden.
Source: Some people around my social circle smoked back in uni.

> No matter immigrants or not, they need to get locked up, and they would've gotten locked up in their respective countries.
Because the perpetrators are often children/teenagers, in many places actually not. It's the underage factor making many of these cases challenging to prosecute.

> Interesting how the immigration policies are the biggest contributing factor to this situation.
If you listen to the PM, yes. Another major factor (actually the biggest?) is Sweden's among European countries relatively unique hardline and boneheaded stance on recreational drugs including cannabis, which has contributed to growth and strengthening of criminal gangs who fund themselves and maintain territory by drug trade, simultaneously silently pushing otherwise law-abiding citizens into the criminal sphere, furthering the split into parallel societies. Basically the opposite of the Portugal approach. There are arguments that the law on sex work (buying sexual services is a crime; selling is not) has been having similar effect.
If you believe it was naivete behind the open immigration policy, well, you could still say the same here.

When I was home sick in high school I made an eggdrop bot pretending to be a teenage girl in a webchatroom that was popular with kids (and creeps) at the time. It used simple regexes and pattern matching I gathered from logs with some randomization between predetermined phrases randomly combined with smileys, just replying to people that would cold-DM it.
After a couple of days, people would desperately go back and forth for upwards to an hour with it.
That's nothing compared to what current gen can do. People being more aware of bots being a thing in general these days isn't sufficient to compensate.
